Just boring

I was super bummed! The book just never took off. Nothing happens. It‘s super predictable. Not moving on to book 2

Alright

I didn’t like it much. She went straight into being in this vampire world from her own life but then barely anyone in her own life was mentioned. Idk I wouldn’t recommend this book.

Excellent Read

I was enthralled from the beginning of this book and stayed up late listening to it instead of sleeping! S. J. West does another great job of pulling you into the book so you feel as though you are part of the story. I have enjoyed reading each of her books so far.

It has a lot of potential

I enjoy the storyline and the characters, but the descriptions of the foods and the amounts of the foods just goes on and on and gets annoying. We get it...she has to eat A LOT. Hopefully the other books in the series don't go on and on and on and on about all the foods she eats.

not interesting enough

This ended up being a struggle to finish. The storyline just got dull to me.

The story and characters kept you hoping for more information. In the end not all was made clear. I would have liked to know more about the other species

In love with this book!!

This series is amazing! S.J. West takes you to the world of vampires and doesn't disappoint! definitely worth reading/listening to, can't wait for the rest of the series to be on audio! (The next 2 books are ebooks if you can't wait for audible to catch up 😀)

The Narrator

She is amazing! All the voices she does throughout the book is fantastic. She is one of my favorites!

Not bad

So far this is a knock off pg-13 True Blood right down to the half fae/ half human heroine with dead parents that died under suspicious circumstances and the vampire she’s in love with. Even the rural Louisiana setting is the same. But I like True Blood so I’ll read the next book

This is a good younger adult book series. Not for me, I need more romance personally. The story like is good
