This should scare the sh,shi... sugar out of you

If, like me, you need solid evidence to convince you to give up sugar, Zero Sugar Diet might be the ticket to conquering an addiction that is as serious as any addiction. As someone who knows well what most foods consist of (protein, carbs, fats, fiber, etc.), my mouthful of sweet teeth has always over-ridden my brain and made it very difficult to say 'no' to sugar. I have known for many, many years that I needed to cut down on sugar consumption, and have tried many diets to do so, but always failed. Having listened to this book, I gained some very scary insight into how I have been abusing my body in so many ways; some of which I was aware of, others not so much. Zinczenko's research shows how sugar is basically poison, but how it is used by the food industry to keep the consumer coming back for more. Of the many, many books I have read and listened to on nutrition, this is the FIRST that has struck such a deep cord with me. I am confident I can succeed at getting the sweet stuff out of my diet, and make a permanent lifestyle change. Hopefully, Zinczenko has succeeded in scaring the sh, shi..., sugar out of me. This is a very well written book. It's a fairly easy read, and as someone with a healthcare background, I found it very easy to understand, but you will get the gist of the program even if you don't quite grasp the scientific explanations.

Consumer Beware

Information Everyone Should Know. I've recommended this book to friends who have young children. I've given this book a glowing review to my doctor. Added sugar is in almost everything and has very negative effects on our health. This book has a lot of scientific information but is written in an engaging and entertaining way. It is excellent. It should be required reading in high school. Everyone would be helped by knowing this information.

Great concept and very thorough!

I didn't realize how much sugar I was taking in daily until I listened to this book! The book is very informative and will go pretty in depth. Even If you don't have a basic understanding of nutrition, this is a great resource to learn how to read food labels and clean up your eating habits.

Entertaining and Educational

This book educated me big time on nutrition. Although the topic was about sugar, it also talked about the benefits and strategy to reduce sugar cravings and lower body fat. I give this book 2 thumbs up! Just get it, you will be amazed by what you hear. Good luck.
