what a story. wow

man this story does so much right. good stories. interesting characters. Just enough world building. there isn't a lot of over explaining, so the learning curve is a bit high bit but I was never really lost.

I'm surprised

It's been a while since I took a chance on a new book and it was consistently good throughout.

This book doesn't have dry parts or parts that over explain previous points. It's 20+ hours bec it's a big story with places and characters.

The mc is reasonable and based on the settings makes sense. Definitely Worth a credit! Can't wait for the next book.

Great Story. Forced Twist

First off, this is a pretty great story, all things considered. The plots engaging, the MC’s not annoying or OP. The world building is the written version of a chef’s kiss emoji.

My only gripe is right at the last dozen chapters, the MC makes a series of completely illogical decisions that will inevitably put him in direct conflict with the world’s superpowers all for the sake of the author’s preferred story arc. I don’t mind that the author chose confrontation over quietly amassing power. I just think it was really clumsy how we got there.
