Every epic foe sees a hero or two rise to save the day, protect the helpless, and vanquish evil; unfortunately, there are three heroes this time....
When Rowan and his friends are cast into a system-controlled world, they discover the kingdom of Rhys is under siege. The frontier is faltering under the recent attack of a demonic horde that corrupts all it overtakes. And what exactly is expected of this trio? They're heroes of course. Long-awaited, much-needed, very confused heroes.
Rowan and his crew are soon dealt their fates through system cards that decide every power, skill, and attribute in this world. But while his friends each receive a seriously cool sword made of light and otherworldly mage might, Rowan gets...a spear? A lousy spear. The weapon of every nobody-special, guaranteed-to-die-horribly NPC everywhere.
And when his friends are taken to face their grand destinies, Rowan ends up in the care of the once-great, now-disgraced Baron Kayden Sutton. The baron is to train him in preparation for the coming demon onslaught—an assault in which everyone expects Rowan to be obliterated.
But even with nothing but his sharp stick, guts, determination, brains, and big mouth, Rowan isn't about to give up. In fact, he's gonna give 'em hell....
The first volume of the hit LitRPG adventure series—with more than 750,000 views on Royal Road—now available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook!
Tropes include: underdog hero, loveable loser, and unstoppable foe.

In another book called All The Skills by Honour Rae i'm not saying that this author ripped off those books. It's just similar.
Or remind me of them, the main character can't use any other weapon but a spare. the kingdom hates him cause of the God who chose him. Sounds familiar, right. It is not a horrible book, it's just alright, just didn't care.
For a first time book it's fine
I'll probably get the second one. Just to see if it ever picks up i really don't think it will, but I could be wrong.
So It's not as dark as those two an the so called trader is very obvious it's pretty much as soon as you get introduced to. The characters and they tell you that there's A prediction? That one of the hero, what will be summoned? Who will join the demons. Dun dun Dun.

Pretty good

That was just the one that irked me as his complete lack of understanding seemed to be a driving factor for explanation and was leaned heavily on.
The end battle seemed to drag for me and I know it wasn’t even truly that long. I came close to not finishing as I just lost complete interest.
Lots of potential here and maybe my issues won’t be yours.
Fell flat several times for me
