The demons won. The world ended. Or did it?

Wulf is one of the last survivors of the demonic apocalypse. At the brink of oblivion, he’s sent back forty-one years to prevent the end. Now he’s a first-year again at Istalis Academy.

Having his advancement reset is an opportunity to do everything better. But Wulf is sent back with a seemingly useless crafting class. Nobody can know or he’ll be expelled from his fighter program, where he’ll be expected to channel his abilities through the hollowed-out vessels of stone giants.

The more Wulf learns, the more he suspects the class change isn’t an accident. Perhaps what mankind needs isn’t just future knowledge. It’s someone whose legendary class can change fate itself.

A Fate Alchemist.

Not my favorite either, I normally love regressor stories, but idk I don't think I like the magic system being employed here. The golem/gundam situation is a little wonky. "Lame" wud be too harsh, the story flows n there enjoyable parts, but I just don't have a ton of interest in magic pacific rim

Not bad

I think I would have liked it more if it had stopped after the first big battle.

Trying to do the exact same thing for the second one just didn't make sense to me. if they were right about the first time, then why in the world would no one believe them on a second time? And even if the headmaster wouldn't support it, the people in power in the city probably would have at least added more protection, that would have made a lot more sense, but I guess then that wouldn't be the narrative that the the author wanted to justify. The protagonist wouldn't be able to be the hero again then.

That said the final battle was entertaining, the parts in between not so much.

I liked it alright, and will probably get to the next one

the reacuring and unkillable asshole that just so happens to have the power to cripple a literal Walking Mountain while being Low Copper. also just because you can't expel the little shit doesn't mean you dont punish the asshat. the dad can't pull funding if the terms are Asshat can't be expelled and nothing else. suspend your disbelief.

MC strangles a Yetti with the liquid in a low potion.

MC the loses his Roommate because a then higher tier potion can't support the weight of a person. sure

the only thing that saved this book for me is Kiju demons with matching mechs

its good but serious drawbacks

I love regression books but this felt a little different. His future knowledge helps him physically and foretell dangerous events. I think it feels different because the world and Magic are pretty unique. The concept of piloting golems is new to me. The story was entertaining and I look forward to the next book. The narration was really good too.

Cool book
