Worth the credit, look forward to the next

Very solid first book. The hammer was a bit annoying at times and seems like a direct rip off of Frank from thr Ripple System books. But other than that I enjoyed and would recommend

What a surprise! This was a really good listen. I enjoyed the progression of ash and his hammer. Lots of great battles.

Rock and Ash’s interactions

Wonderful story can’t wait for the next installment the interplay between Rock and everyone hope the next installment comes quickly

Fun and Funny

Riftside is LitRPG Fantasy flavored with dungeon crawling, monster part gear forging, and some light hearted character interactions. I especially like how this book handles exposition. Just the right amount of explanation in the right places without the annoying easy cop out tricks a lot of books in the genre fall into.

It's fun and entertaining.

The narration in this book is top quality. Justin and Jeff are hilarious. The character writing is cute and the narrators and sound design really bring the story to life!

If you're new to LitRPGs you should definitely make this your starting point.

I enjoy it from start to finish

it was enjoyable it's not s tier maybe upper b lower a tier the voice acting was amazing the storyline was fun i don't have any complaints and I will definitely be buying the next one in the series

Great book...

everything was great...only comment was that the use of Maw and Paw could be a drinking game and Rock's voice is the Cookie Monster. Otherwise...great book.

Solid Story, Stellar Narration

Overall, Riftside 1 is a solid read, and I’d have no hesitation recommending it. While it didn’t fully align with my personal preferences, it still delivered an enjoyable experience.

That said, I don’t think it’s fair to compare it to titles like Primal Hunter or He Who Fights With Monsters. Those books hit about 90–95% of what I look for in terms of story and plot—they’re much closer to my ideal. Riftside 1, by contrast, landed around 70% for me. It didn’t quite check all the boxes I typically seek out as a listener, but it’s still a well-crafted book with plenty to appreciate.

Really enjoyed this

The story was awesome and the world building was great. The take on the progression system was unique but easy to understand.

The narrations were great (though one of the characters sounded a bit like the cookie monster from Sesame Street. lol)

I am looking forward to the next book!
