Steel Foundations asks the question: What if a 16th-century German knight was thrust into a world of magic, gods, and monsters, forced to navigate the unknown while mourning the loss of everything he once knew?

Leon Jäger, a stoic and unyielding knight, lives by a simple code: repay kindness with a river of ambrosia, and slights with total destruction. When an unexplainable force pulls him into a foreign world where magic flows and monsters roam, his creed will be tested like never before.

Struggling to comprehend powers beyond his imagination, Leon must master the mystical art of Qi cultivation while hiding his abilities from those who might exploit them. As he maneuvers through this strange land of gods, magic, and Cultivation, Leon must not only survive but carve out his place—without losing himself in the process.

Steel Foundations blends the epic drama of Western fantasy with the intricate philosophy of Chinese cultivation, wrapped in the fast-paced thrills of LitRPG. Swords, sorcery, and mystical forces converge in this unique isekai adventure, where Eastern tradition meets a knight's resolve.

I love this idea of what a night would do in a cultivator would.
I believe the arthur did a grate job and I enjoyed that the main character is a man of honor and take the “might makes right” into “might can help you do right.”
Can’t what for the next book to come so that I can get my fix of a night in a cultivator world.

Fantastic

This genre is definitely not my go to. That being said, I was hooked after chapter 2. I can't stop listening to this. I typically only listen to books or podcasts on my way to/from work, but this one has been played at home as well! I hope the follow on books make it to audible soon!

AMAZING!!!

to put it plainly. take the concept of a stoic german knight with just a pinch of occasional snark, and you have leon. the occasional jabs come out of left field but feel just right for his character so much, so i have spit out my drink once or twice. nothing too complicated, and a good action story continues on as i listen, only 4 hours into the book all i have to say is armen taylor did an excellent job with performance in this book

a new gem for cultivation

he never seems to question the meddling of the gods and just goes along with what ever that one goddess manipulates him into, I take issue and it makes me feel some kinda way. aside from that I loved the mc, and will be continuing the series in the books that are now available. if you are on the fence its a good listen, I was and I don't regret getting it.

A VERY GOOD STORY JUST ONE ISSUE

Why? Why share his power with this leech chick that not only forced herself onto his service but also was borderline useless the entire time. What’s worst is she’s annoyingly ungrateful. Ugh, I was loving the story too smh. Idk why these books force these characters into these female interactions, and in majority of the stories they slow down and drag the entire plot to s**t. Learn from the others people! Stop watering down good plots with cringey, clingy chicks. Be more realistic and make a character smash and release from time to time sheesh.

Why??? SMH

Loved the concept of an actual knight ending up in a Fantasy world with goblins and monsters to fight. No need to start by learning how to use a sword... and straight in to adventure and being a bad ass.

I was blown away by this book I wish the book had 20 more hours for me to listen too. Great narration, amazing concept, well liked characters, and lots of possibilities to come. I’m already counting the days for the next book.

It’s just….Amazing

The story was good. Leon can do no wrong in his new life as the gods seemingly smile down on him. All upswing and suspense of defeat. But i really did enjoy seeing Leon crush every challenge and obstacle with the suspense of how he will crush them being enough to still make the story very enjoyable.

My main issue with the audiobook is the narration of every yes no menu option followed by the inevitable yes. It made me almost dnf what was an otherwise good book. So if you can get past that, you will really enjoy this book.
