It’s just….Amazing

I was blown away by this book I wish the book had 20 more hours for me to listen too. Great narration, amazing concept, well liked characters, and lots of possibilities to come. I’m already counting the days for the next book.

Fun, I like it, but gonna vent (light spoilers)

I think the performance and pronunciation of German names and accent are excellent, shame there’s only one lasting German character. Mc is “covered in steel head to toe” but keeps getting stabbed in the thigh. Of the supporting cast, the only women who don’t want him are either the innkeeper or lesbian. Contrivances. Lot of contrivances. Keeps getting all the best loot. Thrice he got a new skill to solve his immediate problem; twice when he was losing, once because he got really angry at a slime. The church is too stupid to exist. Corruption is believable, but this is arrogance to the point of incompetence. And what kind of idiot “tricks” someone into a life-death duel and starts threatening death, torture and worse on someone when they start getting trounced?

Only problem is the millennial, writing that constantly distracts and takes you out of the story.

You need to get this book! It’s amazing story great! Narrator amazing! I’m salty that I need to wait a couple months for the next book!

Great Power Fantasy

Fantastic look at a hardened warrior from 16th century earth transported to a world operating by different rules.

well written story fantastic all around and very warming to the heart battles are good and characters are well done I was enthralled the entire time

A VERY GOOD STORY JUST ONE ISSUE

he never seems to question the meddling of the gods and just goes along with what ever that one goddess manipulates him into, I take issue and it makes me feel some kinda way. aside from that I loved the mc, and will be continuing the series in the books that are now available. if you are on the fence its a good listen, I was and I don't regret getting it.

AMAZING!!!

This genre is definitely not my go to. That being said, I was hooked after chapter 2. I can't stop listening to this. I typically only listen to books or podcasts on my way to/from work, but this one has been played at home as well! I hope the follow on books make it to audible soon!
