Honest in all the worst ways

First let me say that I had to commit a little bit of cognitive dissonance to rate the "story" part of this review a five. The story sucks. Our founding principles are being eroded away like the bolts of a San Francisco street light due to the urination of progressive policies. The fact of the matter is that Steve holds back no punches. The mirror he holds up in the face of every conservative is both refreshing and convicting. It is our continued silence through the years that has contributed to our own problems, and Steve makes that very clear. However, following the biblical principle of confronting your brother in his sin, Deace does this for our own good. We need to see that all of the navel-gazing and holding our noses as we vote for the magic R is not the solution. The solution is clearly defining our principles, standing up for them, come (literal) hell or high water (boarding), and not being afraid to articulate the truth in all arenas. The body count here is high. Steve slays every sacred cow. That's a good thing because we don't want their climate changing flatulence around anymore. God bless Steve and everyone else who is working much harder than most of us to correct the record and call us to action.

This book should come with a warning label. It will hurt your feelings if you think the Republican party is all that and a bag of chips. Really enjoyed it!

unless you're already as cynical as or a fan of Steve, (and his crew) then it's just an absolute confirmation and proof of what a lot of us already know. if you follow politics at all this is a MUST read.

Word to your Mom’s...Deace came to Drop Bombs!!!

I had to buy this book in print for the reference, after hearing the audiobook! I couldn’t put it down!! Deace dispels common myths we believe about our movement, and lays waste to conventional wisdom. It’s carefully sourced and it’s done in Steve’s voice so you cannot miss his unique sarcasm and wit. His being on the front line as an expert and movement conservative gives him standing to be introspective and evaluate our success and failures. His other book, Rules for Patriots, provided HOW we should fight the fight tactically, and this book details exactly WHY...IF we want to win. This fight is more about our survival, and the survival of our culture and upholding that which makes us a great nation and a good people. I couldn’t say enough good things about this book and the message we NEED to hear! I can totally understand why Steve believed this would be his last book. Buy it!!! Spread the word!

Clear and cogent analysis

Intellectually challenging, blunt, hard-hitting, this book gives any thoughtful Reader a lot to think about. Yet it is profoundly hopeful.

Should you read this book?

Great book! If you're a conservative who enjoys being used as a "booty call" by the Republican Party, don't read this book. If you're a Christian who revels in being lied to by the GOP and still thinks the Republican establishment has your interests at heart, don't even take a look. If you enjoy comfortable illusions about the politicos who lie to you and use you, this book is NOT for you.

But if you're sick and tired of allowing yourself to believe the lies of the party you've given your allegiance to...if you've had enough of being a tool of the political party that makes a mockery of your values...if you're interested in seeing the evidence of just how broad and how deep goes the betrayal from the people you trusted...then maybe you want to read "Truth Bombs."

Since the "great sellout" of conservatism by many of its most reliable voices some three years ago, Steve Deace and his show are one of the few sources of honesty I've been able to turn to in order to stay sane. You won't see this kind of level-headed, brutally-honest information and analysis virtually anywhere else--not on conservative talk radio, not in the blogosphere, not in social media, not on Fox News, very seldom in church--and NEVER from the GOP establishment.

If you're going to buy one book this year, let "Truth Bombs" by Steve Deace be it!

Long time fan likes this book (shocking)

Could have been longer, but good points nonetheless. I felt like I was listening to 5.5 hr well structured, well thought out monologue from his show. (thats a good thing). I wish he had gotten some pro-Trump conservatives in his second to last chapter for a different point of view.

Amazing...

Deace puts other “conservative” talkers to shame. Way smarter, and way more honest. Read/listen to this book ASAP!
