A fun book with lots of action
This is book 1 of the Fleet Ops series. I hadn't read the previous series, which they make reference to throughout most of the book. Still, I didn't think it distracted from this book at all. All in all, I liked the book and will be purchasing the next in the series when it comes out in a few days.

I have mixed feelings.
I really didn't enjoy how the story leapt forward in some instances almost like whole chapters where missing. The performance was what kept me listening to this book more than the story. I did want to like it though.

Another Great Story!
This is a continuation of the Vin Husher story, although in a different Universe. As always, Mark Boyett delivers a strong performance and the addition of Joshua James as a co-writer adds "punch" to the story. can't wait for the sequels!

Felt like I missed...
Pros: engaging story and well told.
Cons: I spent most of the book feeling like I was playing catch up. There’s clearly a series of books (or more) before this. They reference a billion things that already happened and I just had to accept it.
In the end, I enjoyed the experience.
