UNDYING!!!better off dead
I like B.V. Larson. Mark Boyette is PHENOMENAL! This book felt very forced. The characters bumbling luck is unbearable. Also weak versions of already played persona, I.e. McGill and Carlos from the fantastic UNDYING SOLDIERS SERIES. This wasn’t awful….it just wasn’t good. Maybe I was expecting something different. Left feeling bored. Stayed because of Mr. Boyette … not really interested in the next two.

this book has a great first contact story with an interesting world and a interesting twist with the protagonist and of course the narration is top tier give this story a try and you will be hooked can't wait for next book

Another Man-Slut, Another Unimaginative Military Fantasy
I’m sorry. I really like BV Larson but this penchant for man-pig main characters is getting so old. I usually just skip through the random and gratuitous sex, and to my shame, overlook the dehumanizing of women, because the stories are so good otherwise. This probably puts me in a small minority of men, but I have become hesitant to purchase (and quick to return) many of his new books and even series for just this reason. The formula is stale and it’s hard to root for a main character that is a legend in his own mind and basically a rapacious swamp sow.
