A Quick Fix That Leaves You Wanting More

Michael Chatfield's Emerilia series is one of my vices. like your neighborhood junkie, I finished this book in what felt like an eyeblink and now im left wanting more. For most readers that follow the series you probably know what im talking about. The plot and world building is well fleshed out, the science and magic system is not over complicated or tedious, the character are relatable and 3 dimensional, and overall the story is simply entertaining as hell. I have only one complaint... Tristan Morris, if you are reading this, please for all of our sanity finish the rest of the Emerilia series as soon as possible. I know you are in high demand, but its highly irritating having to wait months for a the next audiobook in a series that was finished a while ago. I could read them but im so use to your voice now that it wouldnt be the same.

I have liked the series so far, but...

It seemed like a too big chunk of this book was Dave checking his stat page, it got aggravating to the point I was skipping ahead.

Good, but...

Good story and one I will continue to listen to. I noted that every other book seems to be shorter. This one was longer, but it was taken up with a lot of "character sheet reviews".

emerilla is one of the best!

I love this series and look forward to listening to the rest. Dave and the Stone Raiders!

A little too much explaining

I enjoy the way he thinks about things but it's a little too much explaining and a
not enough story

To much going on for nothing.

The narration is excellent. The main character is excellent. This book felt like they were running in circles just to do so.

Not a lot happens in the story line. There is a lot of fighting and it gets a bit convoluted. in the end not much happens .

It feels as though this was drawn for no other reason other than to sell a book.

I'm loving this series so far I hope the author keeps up the great work

still lots of fighting, lots of adversaries

but I am starting to fatigue of odds of thousands to one when the Stone Raiders obviously are not in the same class of power as anyone else. There are still a few in inconsistencies in the plot. Still, I want to know where the battle to reconstitute Earth as a civilization is going, so I guess I am hooked for at least one more sequel.

Meh after Meh

After I finished reading the only three books available in his Ten Realms series, I was craving more. I started this series and really wanted to get into it... So much so I made it up to this book with literally no emotional attachment.

There is an overarching plot to the story, but every novel is just a bunch of random battles that will eventually get us there, I guess. You might be into that. As for me, I'm not invested in any of the (many) characters. I even had to look up the characters on a few occasions because I couldn't remember who they were.

The concept seemed new and interesting at first, but there's just not enough meat to the story to carry these novels along in any interesting or meaningful way.

I really wanted to love these, but they rank low compared to the other LitRPG novels out there. But, I mean, if you made it this far and have enjoyed the books, you will like this one too. A whole bunch of the same thing.

I would have left this review on the first book, but apparently we can't review a book after we've already returned it.

what an amazing journey! this is my favourite series of all time. Love the depth of the story and characters.
