Publisher's summary

On the advice of his wife, Paul Rice is making plans to attend his 10th year High School reunion.

Returning to his boyhood home of Harmony, Indiana, he finds that he is still haunted by memories of that time-memories of Deidra, his first love, and memories of the Wide Game.

It was 10 years ago that Paul and his friends watched their day of fun become a race for their lives, a fight for their very souls.

Now, as he meets the survivors of that day once more, Paul makes a chilling discovery: The incomprehensible forces that toyed with them have yet to finish playing their own game.

The Wide Game is one of the Harmony, Indiana horror novels from Michael West, which also include Cinema of Shadows and Spook House.

The Wide Game

This was good. The story ,gory. Kids in a town play a game in the fields in the summer.Kind of like 'capture the flag'.When demons infest the town things go awry and nothing is real, yet very real. Narration by Nila Brereton Hagood was well done.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Creepy fun

This is absolutely one of the creepy and creative books that I have heard it read in a long time. The characters are charismatic and well developed. The storyline is creative and imaginative. If you love horror I recommend this book. I received this book at my request and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review here of my own volition.

slow start..

but this story really picks up. I really wasn't sure what to expect but being a Michael west book, I had to give it a listen. I was expecting some gory and/or scary scenes and West delivered. I was also impressed with the narration done by Nila Hagood. First time listening to her. While it took me a while to get used to her style, by an hour in I was rooted to the story.

I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an unbiased review.

A great undiscovered horror classic

I read this book years ago and was blown away by how quickly I found myself in the grips of the story. I’ve recommended it to many of my friends over the years, and I’m happy to do so here as well. Once the plot starts rolling you can’t put it down. West is really one of the unsung heroes of horror fiction right now. I can’t recommend his stuff enough.
