Great

Great stories. Very much in the spirit of the original Mignola works. Narrator also kind of sounds like Wil Wheaton, which is pretty neat for the common nerd. Recommended.

An assortment of good times.

Vampires, two headed dogs, shape shifting serpents, burning girls, and a bevy of other vicious beasts along with labyrinthine mythologies are just the frosting on the cake. The poignant moments of humanity are the cake. Each one feels like a good substantive story peppered with equal parts humor, mystery and gore. If you’re a fan of horror, folklore, or monsters then give it a shot. If you’re a fan of HELLBOY then it’s mandatory.

Superb

Superb, varied, and evocative collection. I had worried that without the visual element these tales would not work, but Hellboy's warmth, good humour, and visceral lashings of monstrous imagination gleam darkly through this polished production. Bravo 🙂

An Assortment of Interesting Stories

It took a while to get into this book - maybe I didn't connect with the first few stories. Overall the stories range from OK to very good. All of them do well to add to the Hellboy lore, but some are better than others. Still worth a listen though!
