Great book, but really short.

shouldn't have wasted a whole credit, but it was a good book. just not worth the money.

New Vegan

I am new to being vegan and have had a lot of push back and criticism from friends and family. This book was helpful at teaching me a full well balanced plant based diet and giving evidence based research on benefits of plant based eating. Quick easy book.

Excellent reference!

I highly recommend this highly. The author brings an outstanding background and fund of knowledge to this reference. Up to date research and practical suggestions are offered here for seasoned vegans as well as for those wanting to experiment with veganism.

Simplistic

The content was simplistic and in the vein of “it’s so easy!” If it were so easy, more people would be doing it. It does a poor job of citing research which chips away at credibility.

It addresses nothing about the challenges of changing to vegan (cravings, societal feedback, and, frankly, long-time habits). The book has the feel of superficiality.

The reader, however, made it worse. His tone was that of a salesperson for a 2 am infomercial, and after an hour of listening, it felt like all those other quick-fix plans.

Veganism is a healthy option that is worthy of consideration for those who want to improve their health. This book does not do it justice. This book makes veganism seem like just another weight loss quick fix.

If you want to explore veganism, there are better options out there for information (like Dr Caldwell Esselstyn or Dr Michael Gregor).

Direct and no fluff practical information

The reader used “EG” instead of saying “For Example” which was confusing at first but then annoying.

The author says something is on the PDF but not how to get the PDF. This being an audio book would like instruction how to get this. Feel like I am missing the recipes.

In formation was up to date and hints and suggestion useful and pragmatic. I like the no fluff and succinct style that efficiently get the point across.
Felt the reader a bit too formal for my personal style. Would have like a few chapters read by the good Dr. Barnard to make it a bit more personal.

Great book

This book breaks down about being a vegan very well. It allows you to understand the changes and the reasons why some people choose to go Vegan, and it breaks it down very well for the new vegans.

What I was looking for.

This is what I've been looking for. It is packed full of good information for someone wanting to go plant based. If your in doubt don't be, you won't be disappointed. I am doing it for health reasons. Hope to update this in another month.

Good Starting Point

This book had a lot of good information. A good staring point for those thinking about becoming vegan.
