Publisher's summary

Experience the stunning conclusion to Legends of Abreia, a thrilling romantic fantasy series for fans of Elise Kova, Sylvia Mercedes, and Shari L. Tapscott!

War is coming…… and Prince Vaniell is willing to do whatever is necessary to protect the Five Thrones. He’ll even entrust his life to a former enemy as he attempts to gather allies against the looming threat of Garimore’s armies. From Iria and Eddris to the distant mountains of Farhall, he’ll risk everything to bring the Thrones together, desperate to save Abreia from the cruel realities of war.

But he must do it without Karreya. Her mission is to infiltrate Hanselm, the capital city of Garimore, and confront the man she knows as Father. It is a daring gamble that hinges on his own pride and ambition, and Karreya believes she can provoke him into acting before he is ready.

But nothing could have prepared her for seeing her father again—for the secrets that would come to light, or the truths she would discover about herself. When her hopes and plans lie in ruins, she must decide just how much she is willing to sacrifice, and how far she’s willing to go to protect the gray-eyed mage prince she has come to love.

Armies are on the move, and under the shadow of dragons’ wings, the Five Thrones wait to learn whose hand will direct their future. Will the tyrant, Melger, fall? Or will Vaniell and Karreya fail in their quest to save the ones they love?Bonds will be tested. Hearts will be broken. And by the choices of a destined few, the fate of the world will be forever changed.

The Sundered Blade is the sixth and final book in Legends of Abreia. If you loved Air Awakens, Elven Alliance, or The Spoken Mage, don’t miss this complete romantic fantasy series filled with adventure, assassins, night elf shapeshifters, and slow-burn closed-door romance!

AMAZING CONCLUSION

(Review of books 5 and 6 together.)

I have been waiting for Vaniell’s story throughout the first four books of this series and it was well worth the wait. After being the shallow, vain prince throughout, we finally get to know who he is and how he’s had to live with the regrets of his childhood.

He is witty and charming, but also unselfishly giving and caring. Although he is far from the typical hero in th his series, he ultimately shines. His attraction to Karreya is obvious immediately.

Karreya is a trained assassin who has lived her life under the thumb of her empress and in the belief that this is what she was born for — to kill and protect the empire.

Meeting Vaniell quickly becomes a revelation to her — witnessing his kindness and even self-effacement. Her heart is “slowly” won over by him and the people she meets through him.

But there is war coming and potential tragedy on the horizon. Each of them must battle their own demons and inadequacies and each face their own nemesis — before this war can be won.

Books 5 & 6 revealed an intense ending to the series but also brought conclusion to the many characters and stories revealed throughout the Legends of Abreia series.

The audiobooks were also so well narrated. I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series. (My daughter is now on book 2 and loving it!!)
