This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... The Stranger
This is a good quick western to listen to. There is a lot of story line and detail in it. Brooks Corley did a good job narrating this book. He has a good voice for western books

A fun listen
I first want to mention how great the narrator is. He elevates the material, from a simple western to a gripping drama. This was tense and intense, and just a great way to spend time. Recommend!

Gotta love the old west!

Enjoyable Western
The Stranger by John J. Law is a nice short listen. Great characters that are well developed with a smooth flowing story line with themes of greed, disloyalty and murder. Brooks Corley does a fine job narrating. Recommended

A short jaunt to the old west
You ever watch his old Clint Eastwood movies where he plays the stranger that roles in the town and all hell breaks loose? This is a lot like that only in this case the stranger just wants to be left alone. Unfortunately, that’s not an option for him.
The story is quick it’s just over an hour long, but there’s a lot to it and there’s more meat than there is bone and gristle
Once again, Brooks Corley proves that he is the man for the job when it comes to Western’s. His narration is spot on perfect every time.

A great Western experience - Highly recommended
If you like Westerns, you will enjoy this one. I particularly enjoyed the narrator's gritty, true Western, voice which sounded so well while listening ti the story. In between the moments of drama, the story also shares some more softer interludes that are well scripted by the author. Highly recommended.

This was a relatively short but great Western book I got myself as a collection of books from this and other authors.

Very interesting
This is a very short book, none the less it was entertaining for the hour that I listened to it. It is very engaging and does not waste and space. If you are bored in th car ride I highly recommend this book!
