its so close, yet..

first..the description says there is a prequel story, there is not. it is only the 4 novels. second...the narration, while not the worst, is on the side of monotone and lackluster. and finally the story, world, and characters are there but there are flow problems with the outline. over all, its a good story worth digesting but with some execution issues

A good editor is a must!

This could have been called The Night Duo or Trio but the lack of editing just made it drag on and on and on and on. So many times there was unnecessary situations that lead no where , repetitive storylines and dialog that seemed to be just filler, and worst of all was the jumping back and forth through time which the author was just not skilled enough to pull off without making it a confusing mess.To top it off the performance was boring and monotone.

Impossible to follow.

Finally gave up trying to finish. I quit with 12 hours to go. The story is all over the place.
