While meerkats have the highest murder rate of any species, Kea quickly learns that humans are the most dangerous. She and her new friend Carter must discover the identity of the killer, or killers, before it’s too late.
The stories in this cozy mystery series range from thrilling adventures to comedic romps, as Kea discovers that while she may be an excellent geologist, as an amateur sleuth, she has her faults. Meerkat Murders is the second Kea Wright Mystery, but the books can be read in any order.

Hate the virtual voice
I won’t be listening to another book read by a virtual voice. I don’t like it. Too robotic. Not enough inflection. I thought it would be ok, but 20 min in I rewound it 3 x to catch what I missed. I will read the book instead.

Unique Story, Virtual Voice IDK
I liked the Meerkat angle of the story and all the various characters that made the story compelling. I would definitely recommend the book but maybe not the audio version.
The Virtual Voice lacked depth or maybe the word is feeling. Unlike most audiobooks I listen to where the book runs like a movie in my mind, this one did not. I was just listening. I prefer a more immersive experience.
