He’s the type of guy I’ve always been warned about: dominant, too hot to handle, and my grumpy boss to boot!
And yet, I jump willingly into that fire...
I knew better. I mean, I’m a Badass Queen, ruling in a male-run world.
But even Queens need to have fun, and what I needed was a dirty, flirty one-night stand
Enter Dominic "Dom" Steele, billionaire hockey legend.
At 6’ 3", his presence is commanding. Each muscle finely sculpted, his body is pure perfection.
He moves with a confidence that screams, “I’m a man who knows what I want.”
He wanted me and I wanted him. Simple enough.
Our fiery night together, though, was anything but.
Who knew how addictive a fleeting moment of desire can be.
Months later, I’m managing my brother's hockey team, and in comes my new boss and my brother’s best friend: Dom.
Yes, that one.
The power game begins. His cocky smile makes me want to slap him—or kiss him wild.
I never should have gone along with that fake proposal deal to appease team investors.
And, I really never should have gone back for seconds.
But, oh, I did.
Now he's about to learn this Queen comes with a little prince.

Great story not crazy about single voice AI narration

MMC & FMC zero inflection making it hard tell who’s POV was being told.
Absolutely no consistency, massive plot holes, bizarre idea of interchangeable Coach/ GM/owner/ strategist, weird disconnects like brother & sister are close both don’t who their siblings BFF are & leaving the team for a cross town rival being considered a beneficial without any repercussions or conflict of interest. of course being a multi millionaire isn’t enough we’ve jumped into billionaire territory -that was just the cherry on top
DNF would have been kinder
