Publisher's summary

A diabolically twisty, psychologically unsettling novel about a woman with no recollection of her past from the authors of the Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick The Last Mrs. Parrish and The Wife Stalker.

"Jaw-dropping twists with an unsettling edge that you’ll need a few days at the beach to recover." (Reese's Book Club)

Addison’s about to get married, but she’s not looking forward to the big day. It’s not her fiancé; he’s a wonderful man. It’s because Addison doesn't know who she really is. A few years ago, a kind driver found her bleeding next to a New Jersey highway and rescued her. While her physical wounds healed, Addison’s memory never returned. She doesn’t know her real name. Or how she ended up injured on the side of a road. Or why she can’t shake the notion that she may have done something very, very bad....

In a posh home in the Boston suburbs, Julian tries to figure out what happened to his loving, caring wife, Cassandra, who disappeared without a trace two years ago. She would never have left him and their seven-year-old daughter Valentina of her own free will - or would she?

As these two lives intersect, The Stranger in the Mirror hooks readers with riveting drama, told with Liv Constantine’s hallmark blend of glamour, tense psychological thrills, and jaw-dropping twists.

I can’t get past the male narrator

The male narrator doing a child’s voice is so ridiculous and annoying that I can’t finish the book. Also the premise is so unbelievable that it ruins it. Like there’s an extremely simple fix that could have prevented everything in this story from happening. There’s literally a missing person database for this reason…

Hard to suspend disbelief

Well, that was a wild (and sometimes predictable, sometimes unbelievable) ride. The character choices seem bizarre in places, and also very rushed. Acting was great. 3 stars doe the book; 5 stars for the actors.

WOW!

What a fantastical journey!! I thoroughly enjoy this book. Finished in two sittings because I could not stop listening. Narrators did a wonderful job setting the mood and feel of the moment.

Just when you think you’ve got it…

SO GOOD!! Just when you think you’ve figured out the storyline, you’re not even CLOSE to being correct. I really hope they make this into a movie, just for fun. So twisted!!

Perfect except for male narrator

Where have you been all my life Liv Constantine? I can’t believe I just discovered these twisted sisters, who write under the name Liv Constantine. I say twisted with the utmost reverence.

Addison only remembers the past two years of her life. Suffering from amnesia, she doesn’t even know her real name. She’s living in Philadelphia, engaged to Gabriel, who loves her unconditionally, whether or not she regains her memory. In Massachusetts single father Julian doesn’t know why his wife Cassandra disappeared without a trace. These lives will intersect in ways I never guessed.

Though some of the twists were foreseeable, most weren’t. I initially suspected everyone of malfeasance and could see the story unfolding in multiple directions. Don’t read too many reviews for fear of spoiling the delicious angles THE STRANGER IN THE MIRROR will take you.

The only downside was the male narrator sounded creepy trying to voice Valentina’s seven-year-old voice akin to Chester the Molester.

Far Fetched

I was really excited for this book and had it on my wishlist for months waiting for it to be released but now I wished I saved my credit. It was far fetched which I expect for many thrillers but this was too much and too convoluted.
The barrator was fine except for the man/child characters.

Good story but....

around chapter 40ish it got a bit outlandish and almost confusing. I still enjoyed it though and finished in one night 😁
