Publisher's Summary

A diabolically twisty, psychologically unsettling novel about a woman with no recollection of her past from the authors of the Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick The Last Mrs. Parrish and The Wife Stalker.

“Liv Constantine plants her flag squarely in land staked out by the likes of Lisa Gardner and Karin Slaughter.” (Providence Journal)

Addison’s about to get married, but she’s not looking forward to the big day. It’s not her fiancé; he’s a wonderful man. It’s because Addison doesn't know who she really is.

A few years ago, a kind driver found her bleeding next to a New Jersey highway and rescued her. While her physical wounds healed, Addison’s memory never returned. She doesn’t know her real name. Or how she ended up injured on the side of a road. Or why she can’t shake the notion that she may have done something very, very bad....

In a posh home in the Boston suburbs, Julian tries to figure out what happened to his loving, caring wife, Cassandra, who disappeared without a trace two years ago. She would never have left him and their seven-year-old daughter Valentina of her own free will - or would she?

As these two lives intersect, The Stranger in the Mirror hooks listeners with riveting drama, told with Liv Constantine’s hallmark blend of glamour, tense psychological thrills, and jaw-dropping twists.

Don't waste your credit!

Long, drawn out and very unbelievable. This is truly the worst disaster they have created

A dry but twisty thriller

Not my favorite Constantine book, but it’s okay. Worth a credit, but not going to knock your 🧦s off.

Mind gripping read.

I loved this book from beginning to end. Couldn't stop listening until I finished. Excellent plot and storyline with a plot twist I didn't see coming.

Boring

I couldn’t even get halfway through this book. The narration is terrible, especially when the man does the little girls voice.

I can’t get past the male narrator

The male narrator doing a child’s voice is so ridiculous and annoying that I can’t finish the book. Also the premise is so unbelievable that it ruins it. Like there’s an extremely simple fix that could have prevented everything in this story from happening. There’s literally a missing person database for this reason…

Difficult to plod to the finish.

I've rated all of Liv Constantine's books 5-Star. This one started off slow and got worse from there. The narrator tried to be urgent but the overall effect was timidly whiny. I never return a book if I've made it to 50% so I finished it. With relief.

Absolutely ridiculous

I was excited for this book and even pre-ordered it, and I could not be more disappointed. I understand that writing a novel is incredibly difficult and coming up with fresh ideas is also challenging, but this one should have been scrapped. The story is absurd and completely implausible, even for a thriller/mystery. The narration switches often and is hard to differentiate. I will say, part 1 was interesting and had me intrigued, but the rest was frustratingly awful

Not what I expected

Loved Liv Constantine other books but this was disappointing, in my opinion. I didn’t care for any of the characters and found the plot a little boring and far fetched. I listened to the entire book but but I think I was making faces through most of it.
