Publisher's summary

Love may be blind, but obsession’s a real killer.

Nora Holliday is not that kind of woman. Not the kind who has an illicit affair with a married man. But Josh Landon is everything Nora’s alcoholic husband isn’t. And now she and Josh are so infatuated, they can’t stay away from one another.

Abby Landon, Josh’s daughter, is home from college nursing a broken heart. She’s seeking solace, not more scandal, so when she catches her dad kissing Nora, she vows to take the homewrecker down.

And as for Abby’s mother and Josh’s wife, Gwen? To anyone on the outside looking in, the mother of two appears to be living the ideal suburban life.

Until she winds up dead.

The serene seaside town of Shoreham has always been the perfect place to raise a family - not somewhere housewives are brutally murdered. So who killed Gwen Landon, and how many twisted secrets will be exposed as the vindictive plot comes undone?

entertaining

I really enjoyed this book! very easy to follow, character development was great. This was not a who done it kinda book, just an easy flowing story about marriage, motherhood and relationships.

Great except...

This was the first audible book I listened to where the narrator was insufferably terrible. I had to grit my teeth when the narrator voiced Carter. Abby was not much better—she sounded like she was being choked the whole time. HOWEVER, this was still an amazing book that I really enjoyed. The plot was good and it was never slow.

Waste Of A Credit

This is a horrible book - only finished it because I used the credit on it. The characters are terrible, the "story" is awful. Also, the narration is by far the worst I have heard. Do not waste your credit or your money!!

Sumnary

This book did nothing for me. i thought that it was simple and so elementary. I understand the concept of having an affair but I was disappointed in how it was delivered.

Not one redeeming character

I couldn't muster an ounce of empathy for any of the characters. The narration was at times so overwrought I found myself cringing. I'm sure the author thought the twist was very clever. Very predictable.

Horrible

This may be the worst book I’ve ever heard! Reader was just atrocious! Her voice for Carter was like a drugged surfer dude!

Nothing happens!

Oh my gosh this book is so boring. So two people have an affair blah blah blah. Kept waiting for some event or something to happen but it never does. What a waste of time.

Absolute Drivel

No suspense, no story, no satisfying outcome. Just a story of two people fed up with their partners who start having sex. I wouldn't even go so far as to day it was an affair, they never went anywhere or did anything together, just met at motels for sex.
Someone gets murdered at the beginning, but by the end, she's such a nasty character, it could have been anyone, and you really don't care.

Very repetitive, completely unrealistic, plain boring.

Wish I'd not wasted a credit on this

Brilliant storyline

I loved the way it kept me guessing as to where it was heading.
Starting off as a love story with a few complications but then unraveled as personalities became more intertwined. Very good narration.
