Publisher's summary

Contains books one and two of The Forever Series.

Jon Ryan is irreverent, cocky, funny, and walks with a swagger. He says what he means, he says what he wants to, and, in fact, he says what needs to be said.

The cocky fighter pilot turned astronaut is also Earth's only chance for survival. The planet Jupiter, thrown off orbit, will destroy Earth in less than a century. Jon volunteers for the most ambitious, desperate mission ever conceived: His consciousness must be transferred into an experimental android host, where he'll live an immortal - and lonely - life. Jon's only companion on his 50-year voyage is his ship's irritable AI.

After successfully journeying for decades and locating a suitable human resettlement, Jon begins to discover the wonders life can hold, including the power of family and, for once, true peace. But no good deed, or good man, goes unpunished.

The US president wants him dead and is willing to sacrifice his own people to eliminate Jon. An alien species has vowed a holy war to eliminate all humans, either on Earth or wherever they might run. Only Jon can protect humans from their enemies.

With the best planet for colonization ruled by an ancient, malevolent species, there may be no hope for humans in a crowded galaxy. The limits of human technology may not be sufficient. The limits of Jon's endurance may not be enough. His endless enemies may prove to be unstoppable.

Jon may have forever, but does humanity have any future at all?

The Forever 1st book

The narrator Scott Aiello made it even better!

Filled with Liberal political agenda

Book one was decent, book two is just liberal political agenda and not very realistic at all. Scott Aiello the narrator was the only reason I continued to the end.

Great narrator, less than inspirational story

Shallow characters, all challenges presented are imideatly fixed fixed by irrationality convenient "magical" solutions.

Surprised me! Pure fun.

This book is all about delivering a fun and entertaining story. It doesn't disappoint. The story pulls you in and keeps your attention. It's a 2 for 1 to boot. Worth a credit in my book.

The best series ever

I’ve listen to this series many times the author and the narrator are the best fit for any books on audio that I’ve ever listen to

it's alright.

it seemed a little rushed and never really felt like there was risk with any danger in the story. Almost always the solution was found before there was a problem.

Too much plot armor

There was no real suspense in this book. The author protects the main character so much that every challenge faced begins to feel contrived. By the end the main character was insufferable and the story lost its interest.

Good Except!!

Would have really enjoyed more but…. why do authors have to get into politics . I can watch news for that.

A Tour of Nearby Stars

Craig Robertson creates a wonderful tour of nearby starts as humanity looks to reach out. The main character gives zero shits about authority and his witty banter is hilarious. A few liberties are taken for story telling purposes, but this is not a science based book. Those are not distracting and don't take away from the playful and fun story line.

Scott Aiello does a great job giving a unique voice to each character. And his timing is spot on!

Good Listen

Good book. I like the voice actor. the story was OK. It started better but got a liitle "contrived" as it progressed. The author's solutions to the situations Ryan got into were too convenient.
