Contains books five and six of The Forever Series.

There is hope. But first you must find it.

As a horrific war with the ruthless Berrillians heats up, a new, more deadly threat arises - a mythical race known as the Last Nightmare, intent on destroying the universe. Once more, fate calls upon Jon Ryan.

An alliance is made between old friends and bitter enemies. Cooperation is the only thing that might just save them all.

But all the fighting, all the death, and all the suffering are changing Jon. With each passing crisis, his humanity ebbs further and further away.

Can Jon pull one more miracle out of his hat? Is the cost of survival worth his soul?

The story is truly epic and is a great continuation of the series. Scott Aiello has done such a great job bringing these characters to life. This is worth a listen if you have been following the adventures so far.

Wonderful story, Amazing Narration

I love the entire series. Which is why the conclusion to the series left me wanting when it ended quite abruptly. It left a number of questions, at least for me, on what is going to happen. The book was going full throttle and then essentially hit a brick wall. What is happening to the alternate time-line Jon? How did that Jon go back in time or find the technology that he gave our Jon which helped protect his people? Did the last Nightmare kill off the alternate time-line universe forcing that Jon to go back in time?

Then, how does our Jon's friends take his final decision. What happens to AL, the ship AI? How does he/it respond to what happened?

While the book was great, the conclusion did not feel complete to me.

Abrupt Conclusion

An amazing read.Such a ride. Just finished this series and totally loved the story and characters. Ryan is a bad ass and AL , Well I just love a snarky and loveable A I.
My first from this author and narrator but won't be the last...

The story was beautiful I love how they finished up the series on to the next one

Loved it

I think this set was my least favourite of the lot, perhaps as I felt the joy was a bit out of the writing, and I noticed more “slut” jokes that I felt weren’t called out and just tossed too casually. Or it might have been because John was tired too.
I do also feel like the time was a bit off, it kinda moved less with the kids and grandkids than the century he’s gained in the last 4 books.

The ending was sweet.

Narration picked it up a notch so 4 stars overall.

An OK ending
