Publisher's summary

Do not hesitate. Do not contemplate mercy.

The Lorian empire took everything from Dayne. His family. His home. His people.

He will carve a bloody path through Epheria. He will have his vengeance, by blade and by blood.

This is his story...the story of The Exile.

The Exile is a companion novella to The Bound and The Broken series, not a standalone novella. Previous books in the series should be listened to first.

Best Novella I’ve ever read

This is the best in the series so far and the best novella I’ve ever read. Very well done.

Epic

another glorious addition to the bound and the broken series. I liked Dayne from Of Darkenss And Light but he is now one of my favorite characters. also the additional content about Belina was great. their sibling relationship was real and relatable.

Great material to build the world and add suspense

I enjoyed this appendix more than I anticipated. Yes, it's a bit short for a full credit, but book 3 is super long so I feel like all in all this was worth it. I could manage the series without book "3.5" but this installment added a layer of richness and appreciation for the characters who show up in book 3.
Narrator was... AHmazing

great continuation of TBATB

An awesome story of what happened to Dayne after the collapse of skyfell and before his return to Valtara.

The way this story connects to the previous story

I like everything about this book, the way it draws you in. It feels like I can see the events and characters.

Very good listen

To short for a credit, but writing is excellent. It should have been an add-on.

Phenomenal

I'm beginning to understand you should always expect bloody chaos, and your heart to be at least a little broken after one of Cahill's novellas.

A good companion story

If you are into The Bound and The Broken saga this novella will add some depth to it's already well written characters. Action packed and well narrated.

My only gripe is that I think for its length it could have just been added to book two like "The Fall" was to book 1. A credit is a bit steep for the length of it.

That said, Ryan Cahill is very quickly becoming one of my favorite writers I have found on Audible. He builds the world and characters with the best of them in this genre. Great series and I am stoked to start book 3.
