Glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews

The story is unique and adventurous. A lot of people complain about the profanity but fail to understand that this book isn’t for really young adults. The protagonist is young but growing. His behavior is normal for his age, circumstance and personality. Great performance by TGR as always.

Great story, great performance, some recording issues

I really enjoyed the characters and pacing of the story. My only real complaint was the clipping in the audio when any character was being emphatic or yelling. It’s a pretty sharp clip too, so If you’re wearing earbuds it’s a little painful.

A gem of a story

Truly a gem! I could not wait to get more time to listeb to it after i had to force myself to stop listening at night!
One of those books i am constantly on the prowl for!

Great story

I loved the story. The character development and main story line was great. The narrator was spot on like always. My only wish is that they would have not been as vulgar. I prefer characters in alternated realities to have their own cuss words and ways of swearing. I didn’t appreciate the f’ bombs and other swearing.

I need more!

First off the narrator is amazing as always!
This book is a great read. I am impressed and I can’t say a lot bc I don’t want to ruin it for anybody. I just want the next book like right now. It has a little bit of comedy, romance, of course drama, fantasy, fiction, joy and etc. thanks for this great read. I needed it!

Pretty dang good

I've listened to a book or two and this is a really good one.

I'm not sure why there are a few negative reviews about the main character (MC) is kinda dumb. If you think about no schooling, living in a small town, etc... Common sense isn't common, lol.

Characters are well developed and you grow to care about them. As most people mention the grandfather is funny, the cat is funny, the... Well, listen to it.

Anyway, it's worth a listen and a credit. No ragrets, not even one letter, haha.

Fabulous coming of age story for listeners 18+

Comedy, tragedy, war, sexuality. It will teach you the joy of cooking, new ways to use profanity, new ways to insult the idiots in your life and of course that magic is possible. Reynolds probably had to record some of the chapters multiple times till he could get through them without cracking up. Someone else wanted to add to my review: "Look into my eyes moron. I demand that you download this audiobook, then get on your knees and give me that egg." -- The Goddamn Cat
