Publisher's Summary

Zorian Kazinski has all the time in the world to get stronger, and he plans on taking full advantage of it.

A teenage mage of humble birth and slightly above-average skill, Zorian is attending his third year of education at Cyoria's magical academy. A driven and quiet young man, he is consumed by a desire to ensure his own future and free himself of the influence of his family, resenting the Kazinskis for favoring his brothers over him. Consequently, Zorian has no time for pointless distractions, much less other people's problems.

As it happens, though, time is something he is about to get plenty of.

On the eve of Cyoria's annual summer festival, Zorian is murdered, then abruptly brought back to the beginning of the month, just before he was about to take the train to school. Finding himself trapped in a time loop with no clear end or exit, he will have to look both within and without to unravel the mystery set before him. He does have to unravel it, too, because the loop clearly wasn’t made for his sake, and in a world of magic even a time traveler isn't safe from those who wish him ill.

Fortunately for Zorian, repetition is the mother of learning….

Fantastic Start

This book is my favorite time loop storyline. I'm glad they had Jack Voraces continue his work on this as well. Great start to a fantastic series. I'll be eagerly awaiting the next book!

Excellent story, good male voices, bad female voices

The story was fantastic.

On the con side, I went from turning the volume down to fast forwarding the mc’s sister. He really should not voice female characters. Recommend bringing on a female to help with their voices for the second book.

This narrator

This narration is awful. Everyone sounds like a 40year old cigarette smoker or a annoying pitched child. This story is probably great but the narrator is not it Cheif

Great tale, rough narration

Exceptional story in a very well-developed world! The narrator does a fine job in general, but female voices are performed jarringly with snobbish and whiny tones. Strongly recommend a different narrator (at least for female voices).

Groundhog day meets Harry Potter

Think the headline is pretty apt. Main character goes through one of the best character arcs I've experienced.

Definitely lived up to the hype.

I have heard plenty of great things about this series and was extremely excited to see it here. I am even more elated that it was even better than I was expecting from the great reviews. Everything from the magic to characters to the plot is fantastic and I can’t wait to see where the story goes from here.

Fantastic and exciting!

I loved the story and the performance. Nobody and their editor(s) did some great work tightening up the story line and Jack's narration is very entertaining!

One Of My Favorites!

I love this story, I've read it multiple times and still find new things to like.

Having the option to enjoy this in audio format is an absolute delight, and I may or may not have binged the whole thing in a couple of days.

The narration is top notch, and I love the character voices.

If you like the premise of this story I highly recommend giving this a listen!

Legendary! Best audio book of this decade!!!

The story is incredible. Lovely details, never boring, unexpected plot twists.
The characters are fascinating and all develop in their own way, really well written!
What to say about the narration... I love it.
Jack Voraces is a young and very talented man who made this already amazing story come to life. In my opinion, the British accent and the character voices add to the story perfectly.
So 5 stars for the best audio book I've ever listened to so far.
Can't wait for the rest of it :)

Can't get into the narrator, although it gets bett

Why do all characters either scream or seem to be constipated? Plus all those weird accents...I don't get it, why do it? it ges better as the book progresses though

Amazing

This book is awesome the story starts off a slow with a boy going to a school for mages but events suddenly take a turn for the worse and ends up being pulled into a time loop and starts to methodically improve his skills and figure out what’s going on and also improves as a person. Highly recommend this book and cannot wait for the rest of the story to be released the narrator also does an excellent job with great characterisations very enjoyable to listen to.

Great book, well written and funny.

for a book heavily based on time looping, it keeped the story fresh and interesting. narrator did a fantastic job, he pulled off the funny moments and also gave each character depth.if you like books that describe magic, its strengths and weaknesses as well as the protagonist developing there skills, i think you will like this book. give it a try. well done to the author, cant waith for sequel.

Amazing story, iffy narration

I love this story. I’ve read it at least ten times. Perhaps thats why the narration puts me off so much. The author has a good voice that he uses for narrative text and the main character.

However, he uses a variety of silly sounding accents for each character that almost all feel a bit fake and out of place to me. Most characters are a variation of welsh, irish, scottish, or an odd sounding chinese. More subtle voice variations would have worked a lot better.

Also its Kael, NOT Kyle xD.

Terrible Narrator

Loved the book, which I read before listening to this. I'm so glad I did because I'd never have given it a chance.
The Irish accent given to one of the characters is unintelligible and the female voices are so high pitched at places to be that I couldn't make out what was being said.
I'd say give this a miss and read the book.

One of my all time favourites

Fantastic characters and worldbuilding. It ofcourse shines best with all the arcs completed but I would still recommend this.
the magic feels real and makes sense, it blends with technology into into a world which just feels natural and lived in. the MC is a bit unlikeable in the beginning but steadily progresses as a well written character should. Oh and it also contains the cutest giant monster spider in fiction.

I could see if people don't like the reader, the little sister is given a pretty annoying voice for instance. I however couldn't have it any other way though so my recommendation stands

A Sleeper Hit

I honestly wasn't sure what to expect when I picked this one up but I can say with certainty it's a worthwhile listen. The story concept isn't particularly novel but it offers its own spin on the groundhog Day trope, and does so with flair and style. Some people in reviews seem to take issue with the narrator - but I found them excellent in all the roles. Highly recommended!

Narration takes some getting used to

Pretty good. I always like a good time loop story. The narration, however, was absolutely insane and way over the top. I kept thinking, 'Wow, that's an interesting choice for a character voice, that's going to get annoying really quickly'. I couldn't help thinking how much more enjoyable this book would have been if they had gone with a different narrator.

Very enjoyable. If you’re on the fence I highly recommend getting this.

It took me a while to get in to the book as I had to get used to the narrator. But I enjoy time loop stories and this keep me interested the whole way through the entire 22 hours.
Kudos to the author for releasing this book for 22 hours as so many other authors are releasing books shorter than 10. So extra star for you. 🙂
Overall, I highly recommend this book it was very enjoyable and I look forward to the next one.

the story doesn't start at the good bit of time travel but once it does it gets good
