Publisher's summary

Three years after their last contact with Isis, the humans, Othali, and converted hybrids who make up the newly established Collective are hosting a summit with the world's governments to establish their nationhood. But after the gathering is attacked, they discover that Melissa Kwan has gone missing. Before long, others start vanishing, too.

Who could be behind the disappearances? Isis? A newly resurgent Malor faction? Or an unknown player, operating in the shadows and wielding a technology never seen before? Now it's up to Jaden and Malia to get to the bottom of this mystery before they become the next victims!

If you like fast-paced, sci-fi thrillers, you'll love this first novel in the next cycle of the Kwan Thrillers!

Blech on the voice.

A big NO for me on "virtual voice". Nowhere close to the variation and appropriate performance, moment by moment, that a human can give.

It will have to improve A LOT for me to listen to a book done in this way.
