**Listen to the book and watch the original TV series, now streaming on Peacock!**

Join the legion of fans who skyrocketed this six-book series to the top of the charts. Start here, with the first book that kicked off the international #1 bestselling Vampire Academy series.

Love and loyalty run deeper than blood. St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger. . . .

Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever.

Love the book, narration could be better

I love this series, I’ve read it multiple times and will continue to enjoy it again and again. I decided to buy the audio as a companion to my kindle and printed versions. The narration is interesting...some of the accents and voices are a bit cartoonish. While that aspect made me roll my eyes at times, it shouldn’t keep anyone from enjoying this and the subsequent books.
The Vampire Academy series is YA, but I would liken it to The Hunger Games in that while the characters are younger, they deal with serious and thought provoking issues.

I loved it, narrator made it easy to distinguish between characters accents and all. Great performance.

Loved!

I’ve been wanting to read this series for so long. I never had the time to sit down and actually read it since I work 3 jobs, two of which I drive so I found my way around that by downloading the audio book and I have to say… I loved listening to the story! The women who read it did a great job. Don’t get me wrong, there were the slightest moments when I thought she could have done better but she did better than my own voice in my head could have ever done reading it to myself so I give her kudos for her performance. I really got involved and enveloped in the story and was excited to hear what came next. Now off to the second book I go! Can’t wait!🤩

Interesting story line

I originally read the first novel in this series, then after watching the movie adaptation thought I would listen to the series on Audible.

Love the plot and story line. It's compelling and an interesting take on the usual "Vampire" novel genre. "

A lot of people were negative about the voice actor on this one, but I found the plot sucked me in enough to not notice it much at all. Definitely worth a listen/read.

Book is amazing, narrator sucks

She makes rose sound so bratty. She does not sound the way that I think rose should, and from the looks of the reviews, her voice doesnt fit rose according to others too

sooooo good!

the story is inviting, i wanted to know just as much as Rose did. and the connections of undoubted love and compassion between some characters. I won't name who because spoilers! but I felt the main characters emotions along with her! the lust and her curiosity about the truth, all of it. I even came to tears more than once. I love the devotion Rose has for Lissa and how she would do anything for her
