Fun with an amazing Narrator

tough start
While I enjoyed the book overall it was kinda tough to get into at first. After getting into it I realized that the first part helped to understand Justin and how things came and hopefully coming about.

Adore this Series in Print & Now Audio!
This series holds a special place in my heart. Princess Bride references, nerdy little tidbits, urban fantasy, fun characters, even the slightly after-school special teen drama beginning - it speaks to everything I enjoy in books. I am smitten. This is a fun read that left me aching for the sequel. Sweet Blood of Mine is fantastic for adults and young adults alike!
As for the narrator, as I specified in the review title, I first fell in love in print so I had pretty firm inner voices for characters in my head. The narrator did a fine job - probably even deserves the full five stars... but his voices don't always match what my brain expectes to hear. Not his fault, my weird brain is totally to blame in this case. Though as I listen to more audio books in the Overworld Chronicles series I hope I can clear out my inner voices to fully enjoy the narration.

I like!
This is my first book with demons, vampires, felycans, and sorcerers and I’m hooked. I’m still into my outer-space-with-aliens Sci-Fi and thrillers, but I’m adding this type of book to my reading repertoire!
The author does a great job at developing characters and getting the reader interested in their lives and their interactions. He’s a master of descriptive language and when coupled with the audience’s imagination vivid scenes are painted in the mind’s eye.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to the rest of the series.

Great Storyline
First, I didnt know it was a teen book until I'd already bought it. I bought it so I listened to it. Although the storyline was great, I took exception to how it portrayed southerners. We are all not backwards bumbling, football enthusiasts. The only blacks in the books were evil. A little more diversity would have been appreciated.
