A good ending to an interesting story

So I won't lie. This series started off shaky. Book 2 was much better and I was looking forward to this one.

While this book is not as in depth as book 2 it is still good. I enjoyed the ending and the immediate immersion at the start. Some things were still not explained entirely but I can forgive that to a point.

I do think the narrator could have been a little bit more immersive but he was good enough that I was not totally detracted while listening.

I am glad I gave this series a chance.

good finale

Some of the plot felt really rushed, good solid ending though. Larson usually gives realistic sci Fi but this book had a lot of ridiculous plot advances that might as well be magic. for example earth creates a fleet in less than a year that is far superior to everything else.

This was still a great book, just a bit as good as the first two in the series.

Fun Ending

Captain Starhawk is once again in the middle of a lot of trouble. Seems that the oldsters need to be removed. Of course Starhawk is the one who may be able to stop them. This is the last book of the trilogy and before it ends there are some very interesting events. Each seems like it will lead to disaster. Every time Starhawk and his crew turn disaster into a step in the right direction. A fun series to listen to.

Great story

I have all the books previous to this one in the series. I enjoyed the development of the characters, story ploys and the narration.

A Trilogy of Thought

This is the final book in this trilogy and brings together all the clues of the first two books into light and action. After discovering the fleet sent by earth was dispatched for its secretive purpose to destroy all colonist life and thus protecting the true rulers of earth known as the council, Catan Sparhawk and his crew go to protect all of earth's people against annihilation and retribution of an old idea whose time had ended. Seeking alliances from the very remnants of those colonies earth had first established and now seeker to cleanse from all existance they stop the current threat but realize the true threat would never cease in its perseverance to exist and in so doing so control each individual on earth. A very good story line of good versus evil and the rather simple process that was used to keep all under the control of the few. 4 Stars
