Publisher's Summary

Michael Bernard Beckwith - the dynamic spiritual leader who touched millions of readers and viewers in The Secret and through the spiritual community he founded, the Agape International Spiritual Center - is now sharing his transforming central message and his powerfully accessible means for embodying that message in daily life, a process he calls "aspiring toward spiritual liberation."

Michael Beckwith teaches that inner spiritual work, not religiosity or dogma, liberates us. He draws on a wide spectrum of ancient wisdom teachers such as Jesus the Christ and Gautama the Buddha; contemporary spiritual luminaries Thich Nhat Hanh, Sri Aurobindo, and the Dalai Lama; and Western contributors to the New Thought tradition of spirituality such as Emanuel Swedenborg, Walter Russell, and Dr. Howard Thurman to create a profound new belief synthesis.

Either read silently or aloud, Spiritual Liberation can be included during meditation or prayer. Each chapter includes an affirmation that distills its core concepts into a sentence or two for the reader to easily practice throughout the day. Beckwith's personal and touching accounts guide the practitioner to integrate and activate the intrinsic gifts of divinity into everyday life.

The core concepts of Beckwith's teachings are cohesively conceived and convincingly stated in the provocative chapters of Spiritual Liberation. Topics covering "Evolved People", "Transportation to Trans-formation", "Transcending the Tyranny of Trends", and "Inner Ecology" are some of his foundational teachings that bring together insights from a range of spiritual paths to form a coherent practice that is neither Eastern nor Western but truly spiritually global.

Regardless of their belief system, readers will find it impossible to finish this book without at least a few "Aha!" moments.

Title says it all!

This book was really liberating. I enjoyed the book so much I am starting a discussion group to discuss the ideas in the book. "This is a must have" for everyone especially people that have children because if you liberate your thinking you pass that idea or way of thinking to your children and our children are our future. Please love yourself enough to get this book for you and everyone that you know and love.

Absolutely worth your time

I am new to Beckwith in general so this was my first exposure to him, apart from the Secret. I have found this book to be filled with great insights and concrete suggestions that are doable.

My one problem with the book is that Beckwith ends each chapter with an affirmation. The problem is that the affirmations on the audible book are about 5 minutes each, with some cheesy music coming in after the first few sentences. I'm actually a big fan of affirmations, except when they're run on sentences and combined with cheesy music. Don't let this stop you, however. Just warning you to expect this. The rest of the book is top notch.

In general, like all audible books, the Chapters aren't named and don't translate to the actual book chapters. I don't know why they do that but that's not the author's fault.

Totally recommend this book.

This could change the world

What did you love best about Spiritual Liberation?

Forget everything you think you know about self-development and life in general. This book is not like "The secret". It does not promise you millions, neither does this require you to change your beliefs. As you dare to open up this journey you will not become new, you become more and lovingly closer to who you are..I was so moved I listened to the thee first chapters three times before eating the rest with my soul. I will keep it on my phone so when negative comes up all I need to do is press play.

Who was your favorite character and why?

God aka. Love beauty

Have you listened to any of Michael Bernard Bechwith’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was the first and I bought one more after the third chapter.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It opens you up to your true story and it filled me with pure love. Agape

Any additional comments?

<br/>Tired of self-development which does nothing? Me too! This might not change you either because only you can change yourself. You will get insights and they will remove your reduced vision of yourself. Some insights might evolve you in seconds. It has already made this my best year yet. How I wish this will be let into your life. You will not agree with lots of it, however as you continue listening to the prayers your fear will become love and at the end you will discover, the "new ideas" set you free to be a better Christian,Buddhist,Muslim, Hindu, Sikh Atheist or whatever you see yourself as being.
