Story
Inspired by the Japanese concept of kurashi, or “way of life,” Kurashi at Home invites you to visualize your best life from the moment you wake up until the end of each day. By applying Marie Kondo's time-tested query—“Does it spark joy?”—to your mindset and behaviors, you are invited to take an even more holistic and personal approach to curating your environment by imagining what your life could look like full of connection and free from any limitations.

Story
In Sweden there is a kind of decluttering called döstädning, dö meaning "death" and städning meaning "cleaning." This surprising and invigorating process of clearing out unnecessary belongings can be undertaken at any age or life stage but should be done sooner rather than later, before others have to do it for you. In The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning, artist Margareta Magnusson, with Scandinavian humor and wisdom, instructs listeners to embrace minimalism.

A very Comprehensive cluttering book
I really enjoyed this book! Very detailed and though provoking. I especially liked that Karen Kingston moved beyond cleaning up our physical surroundings and talked about cleaning of the body and the mind. Also loved the she draw connection between the psychological mind and clutter. My only complaint is about the music in between chapters... for me it didn’t match the content and just “cluttered” the ideas in the book. Highly recommend the book. Especially if you are open to spiritual ideas and alternative/holistic heath.

Life changing!
This audible book is life changing!! So much info and so encouraging!! The only decluttering book I ever feel the need to have. Got me fully on the declutter train and I learn new things every time I hear this. It’s worth a re-listen every year. :)

One of the most motivating books!
After listening to this book on audible not sure what to expect. The first three chapters got me started to clear clutter in my house. I’m up to 30 bags that I have donated to a donation and continue to do more. I truly enjoyed this book!

I just finished this for the second time, and there will be a third. 😎 Karen has motivated me to clear the clutter and make what are now easier decisions. I’ve noticed a difference already.

Here's the thing...
I genuinely enjoyed and felt benefited by the overall message of this book. I will give you one warning though: Good gods, brace yourself to hear ALL about how great Karen Kingston is. The first threeish chapters are all about how much she's helped people and how you will be helped by the book and how she's fantastic at helping people. As a writer, I believe in "show, don't tell."
Don't get me wrong! I did get a lot out of it! Some stuff I knew I needed to hear. I just wasn't expecting to spend so much time focused on the writer herself.
If you feel you've got clutter in your home, in your head, or in your heart, give this a go.
