This book is very detailed

This book is very detailed and thorough regarding every aspect of Compass Feng Shui. I did not know that there were different schools of Feng Shui until I listen the book. The Author also included interior design techniques which is an added plus! This is a must listen and a go to Feng Shui "Bible."

Comfortable, and enjoyable to be in

A smartly written, practical guide that debunks a lot of the superstition and magical thinking often associated with the practice of feng shui. Trained as a scientist, Sabrina Godwin explains feng shui concepts in ways that make intuitive sense, focusing on the things that provide clear benefits in terms of making a space feel safe, comfortable, and enjoyable to be in. Highly recommend!

Good, simple language

Gave information on Feng Shui design and ideas without so much of the deeper "crystal" kind of information that I didn't want. Helped me to understand what layouts and simple choices in decor makes a person feel comfortable or uncomfortable when entering a room. I had several of those " Oh, now I get why I'm not happy with this room", moments.

Makes sense

A friend told me about Sabrina Godwin and her book Feng Shui that Makes Sense. She is working with one of Sabrina Godwin 's certified consultants. I bought the book and love it. I have always been a huge Denise Linn fan as well. I had been frustrated with black hat feng shui and had found many of the others too complicated. This book explains the concepts clearly and simply. I have been working on the floor plan and applying the compass directions. As a result, it moved all the bangua areas by about 90 degrees. Since my house faces almost due east, it moved prosperity from the back left area to the front left area and moved the love/partnership area to the back left.

A practical and easy to follow guide

I love this book. It provides easy to follow and very practical recommendations on how to enhance the feng shui principles in your home and life in general. We made many many changes as outlined in this book and now enjoy a space that feels wonderful to be in and have experienced several areas of our lives benefitting from the steps we've taken. I highly recommend this book and have already done so to several friends.

Now it makes sense!

I became interested in feng shui about a month ago, and this book was one of a few books I got from Amazon. While other books were interesting as mystical and magical, I wasn't too excited about painting my whole house nor putting some odd Chinese stuff. This book is written for modern lifestyle, yet uses the classical feng shui using the same principal. I love the fact it's compass feng shui unlike western which uses the orientation of the front door. I didn't even know there were different school of feng shui, so I recommend beginners listen several related books to get some general knowledge. Yet this book was by far the best for me, and I'll continue to reference it till I get it right. Thank you Sabrina Godwin for writing this book!

Everyday Feng Shui

I have recently been listening several books on feng-shui, and noticed a real difference in the approach of each author. This author approaches the topic in a sensible and practical way. Less emphasis on specific rules and traditions - though she offers some interesting side-bars on how and why such rules may have existed - and more common-sense reasoning on why feng shi works. I would recommend this title for those a bit hesitant on this topic since it introduces concepts in a manner that is comfortable and inviting. Think interior decorating rather than serious study. Examples and stories make this an interesting listen. Not for the serious or traditional student, but for those looking to bring some feng shui into their everyday environment.

Practical and Realistic

There are at least a dozen books about feng shui on my phone. Each expert has their own opinions and to be honest I was ready to give up because the "must dos" were different and contradicted each other. Then I found Sabrina Godwin ' book and wow what a difference! The explanations of why the remedies of the past were used and how they may not be applicable to modern western living were such a help. Her common sense approach is balanced by the obvious respect that she has for the practice and history of feng shui. It's well written and easy to follow. There are some immediate - inexpensive suggestions that can help you get started making positive changes right away. If you were like me, interested but confused, I would highly recommend giving Feng Shui That Makes Sense a chance.

Best feng shui book

This book is a must listen for anyone remotely interested in feng shui. I've done years of informal research into feng shui because its practicality fascinates me. This is by far my favorite book on the subject. There is a lot of misinformation out there that converts well-meaning people into superstitious and paranoid interior decorators . The effect is counterintuitive to what feng shui is all about, which is living in an environment that optimizes your health. This book addresses all the myths that I've come across and re-grounds you in the common sense and natural science that the practice is based on. It also puts feng shui practices into historical context, bringing it to life in important ways. Lastly the author gives really interesting, incredible examples from her experience as a consultant. In addition to helping me nurture my home with more confidence, I can now better explain some of my interior decorating decisions to my husband in a way that appeals to his reason. Two thumbs up!

My Go-To Feng Shui Book

I LOVE this book. Sabrina Godwin has the knack for making it easy for anyone to apply Feng Shui to enhance their home and enjoy it to the fullest. I have collected audio books about Feng Shui for many years because I enjoy the topic, but this book is by far my "go-to" book. The title describes it perfectly!
