This is a great book!

I enjoyed this book a lot and learned much from it. I totally reccomend it!

much-needed information

the whole book was excellent. very useful the last chapter. audiobook is just what I needed. suggest to readers with audiobook jump to last chapter. then go through the entire book. you'll get much-needed rules right away and understand the book a little more. again excellent training. I've got a German shepherd pound puppy that's 2 years old and 65 lb. little hard to handle but we have a labrador that's been with us for a number of years and she's helping her out. thanks Cesar!

Great Dog Book

Millan offers sensible, practical advice for dog-owners. The basic message I got out of this book is that dogs respond best to a balanced, assertive leader who can provide a structured and orderly environment, and the book provides lots of insight on how to accomplish this. By controling the kind of "energy" you present to your dog, and giving the correct amounts of exercise, discipline and affection you can solve many problems.

I have a 2 year old lab-pyrenees cross with a LOT of energy. Since reading this book and applying much of the advice I have noticed significant improvements in his leash and off-leash walking behaviour, jumping, whining and yard escapes.

I highly recommend this book to all dog owners (current or potential).

Cesar not only understands dog behaviors, but also has a keen insight on the reactions and behaviors of people.

Very informative

I own no pets and probably will not anytime soon but this book had me thinking about it. This book is about the relationship between you and your dog., and what kind of behavior you should expect from your dog. I found it very informative. This is not a book about how to specify train your dog. He does compare different methods of training and equipment such as leashes.
I think this is very good information that all dog owners should know.

Understanding my behavior & attitudes are a reflected in my dog Simba, was a game changer. when I notice he’s being dominant or aggressive, I look into myself & ask myself what’s bothering me? More often then not, I’m carrying something around mentally. When I put it down or address it, he reflects that, in a calm & submissive behavior. I would have never guessed that could ever be the case. Thank you Cesar.
