Publisher's summary

It is one of the most widely studied self-help books of all time and has had a major impact on generations, thanks to its simple message: "You are what you think".

As we think, so we become. This fundamental truth, which some have called "The Secret" or the "Law of Attraction", was clearly and convincingly argued for the first time in James Allen's masterpiece, As a Man Thinketh.

As himself Allen describes, it shows how, in his own thought-world, each man holds the key to every condition, good or bad, that enters into his life, and that, by working patiently and intelligently upon his thoughts, he may remake his life, and transform his circumstances.

Allen reveals how our thoughts shape our character, and manifest themselves in our finances, health, appearance, and environment. The choice is yours: Either master your thoughts and create the life you want; or remain mired in negativity, frustration, and failure.

Great book , bad narration

I really love this book and have enjoyed reading it a few times now. I was looking forward to listening to it in the car while driving down the country! I lasted until about chapter 3 at which point I just had to turn it off ! I may possibly have enjoyed more of it was read by a computer. This reader seemed to have no understanding or affinity for the book. There was no emotional connection. The cadence of the reading, emphasis on words, pronunciation were so skewed as to make it torture to listen to. If you really want to understand this book it is best to read it yourself. This audible version could turn people away and that would be a shame and their loss.

Great material

The cadence Of the readers voice was hard to follow but once I got into the swing of it, it was alright. 👍

Hard to listen to

This book is very interesting but impossible to listen to. The reader doesn’t use inflection or punctuation so I had to stop listening because I couldn’t follow along. Have to get the hard copy of this one, unfortunately.

Terrible narrator

I have never written a review that was negative but i could not help myself. There were sooooooo many mispronunciations i could not concentrate. His reading was just robotic, fast paced and just terrible. I am sorry but it felt like i was in 5th grade reading room. Returning this and buying the actual book.
