Don't buy this...

Just go to a clinic and get a brochure on tinnitus or search online. This is 33 minutes I'll never get back!

Informative

As a person with tinnitus, I've torn through all information available to me. What is convenient about this is that it's condensed into one place. However, I would have preferred to have it in print. That way I could have paused to highlight terms or look something up. The narrator was way too upbeat in my opinion; which I don't think works with an audience of tinnitus sufferers. He almost sounded like a sportscaster to me.

Don't Waste Your Time

This is one of the worst books I have had the displeasure to listen to. The author gives information about tinnitus but not a real way to get rid of it. Tinnitus is a real problem many have to deal with, including myself, but trust me...do not waste your time or money on this book. The narration is poorly done as well. It sounded "fuzzy" and Jeremy Bohn sounded as if he was speaking through cotton or something. Anyway, this book got a one star across the board because I can't give anything less. Please don't waste your time...it really is that bad.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Fraudulent title

The title of this book should be "information about tinnitus." I'll be getting a refund but I won't ever get the 30 minutes I lost listening to statistics and hearing the word tinnitus 200 times. This book actually made my tinnitus worse.

Tinnitus

I was given the opportunity to listen to this short article by the publisher and am choosing to review it.

As a person who has suffered from tinnitus for over 40 years, I am always looking for more information and possible treatments/solutions. However, this really didn't tell me anything new.

The title is very misleading. This does not give the listener any real ways to stop the ringing in your ears. It is more of a description of possible causes and definitions than a way to stop or help tinnitus. Most of the treatments were of the "talk therapy" kind, making me think that the author is suggesting that tinnitus is a psychological problem in most cases.

I have a lot of medical training since I am a Veterinarian and EMT, so the constant mispronunciations of many of the medical terms was especially annoying. If you are going to narrate something with specific terminology, at least try to pronounce the words correctly! I had a hard time figuring out what some of the words were supposed to be.

All in all, if you get this for free, give it a listen. Otherwise, don't waste your time.

Good description of The condition

The author did a very good job outlining and drilling down into what causes and how to correct this condition. The narrator has a great voice but needs to spend some time researching how to pronounce basic words like melatonin and benzodiazepine. For a book that's only 30 minutes long you think they would take that extra effort to make sure it sounded perfect

Awful

Awful book. No info about how to silence tinnitus. Just about how there is no way. Very misleading.

The worst audio book I’ve ever had

It’s a waste of time and money. It basically says there is no treatment or cure for Tinnitus.

Excellent Summary

I already knew about tinnitus, but I didn't know it had so many specifics.
I found the short book very interesting and an excellent summary about the subject.
Good for anybody curious that want to learn news things without having to get a medical degree.
