THE AGE OF DRAGONS IS OVER.

Uncertainty plagues Azeroth’s ancient guardians as they struggle to find a new purpose. This dilemma has hit Kalecgos, youngest of the former Dragon Aspects, especially hard. Having lost his great powers, how can he - or any of his kind - still make a difference in the world?

The answer lies in the distant past, when savage beasts called proto-dragons ruled the skies. Through a mysterious artifact found near the heart of Northrend, Kalecgos witnesses this violent era and the shocking history of the original Aspects: Alexstrasza, Ysera, Malygos, Neltharion, and Nozdormu.

In their most primitive forms, the future protectors of Azeroth must stand united against Galakrond, a bloodthirsty creature that threatens the existence of their race. But did these mere proto-dragons face such a horrific adversary alone, or did an outside force help them? Were they given the strength they would become legendary for . . . or did they earn it with blood? Kalecgos’s discoveries will change everything he knows about the events that led to the...

Great story and lore!

Would you listen to World of Warcraft again? Why?

Definitely. It is a world that I have come to love and enjoy and would always appreciate good books to put the world in a broader perspective.

What did you like best about this story?

The untold story of the five Aspects.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Kalec was about to witness the titans granting powers to the dragons.

Any additional comments?

The tone set by the reader is a bit cumbersome. I had trouble following along but I think he was in the right to have such a mellow tone. It set it up correctly, just was honestly putting me to sleep haha!

First Wow book I've heard

This story was utterly amazing. I've never even consider reading a WOW book but this was well worth it. In its own way it brings new light to the game and it was an amazing story that I really wish blizzard would reference more in the game. I wouldn't hesitate to relive this tale in the form of World of Warcraft. The readers voice was a little slow for my taste but at x1.20 speed it's perfect. I will definitely buy more of these books, would totally recommend this!

Good but not great book

honestly I'm a little disappointed because most of these Warcraft books or so spectacular but this one Falls a little short of that it's not a bad book but it's been so long time on an insignificant plot sort of all over the place and I don't know that it was worth 14 hours of my time. the narrator was fantastic but the story was underwhelming if you're into Warcraft I recommend reading it for the sake of the lore in the series aside from that it's kind of just whatever in my opinion

Very entertaining

I had been on a break from playing the game and I decided to listen to this book and I enjoyed it so much that I got back on WoW and I I thought it was neat if you play the game the book mentions your character's or your group's deeds in game so it's kinda making you part of the story and I really liked that but I digress the book was great kept me interested through out the entire book. Scott brick did a great job

Good Lore on Dragons

This book was pretty good. I enjoyed Warcrimes more. If you like lore surrounding the aspects and dragonflights, this is the book for you. I found it a little boring at times. I was hoping for more involvement with the horde and alliance in the story. Great narrator though.

I love Warcraft Lore. I was not a big fan of the reading performance though.

So much story to build up to the actual good parts but so worth it.

Almost entirely dull

This story (and narration of it) left a bad taste in my mouth. What I thought could be interesting and quite epic turned to be a stumbling, bumbling excuse for a novel. Boring characters, plot and execution of an ending proved to be entirely uncritical to the World of Warcraft.
