Like Books About Dragons???

If you like books with dragons as the main characters, then this is for you! Although the book uses pretty much the same formula that so many other books have been written by. This is still a good light read! The narrator gives a pretty good performance and his characters are well fleshed out. Reading this book will fill the need for action and adventure your teenage boy/ girl so craves. Even though you may be 80 + -!!!!!!! Happy Reading

I enjoyed the story...but,

Would you consider the audio edition of Dragon Blade to be better than the print version?

It always frustrates me when the author gives a character (i.e., shielding), but then fails to have the character utilize it. Bummer!

The reader tried to use voice variation to stand in for the different characters, however, when the dragons spoke he soften his voice so low that I couldn't understand what was being said. I would have to turn up the volume then immediately turn it back down when the character spoke...what a pain!

Great second book. Looking forward to the next book. Great characters, especially the dragons and nice story development

An excellent read

What did you love best about Dragon Blade?

The main character was competent and likable. Too many times in fantasy books have I seen that the main character needs to grow into the role he or she is thrust into. This main character is thrust into the role because he can actually pull it off and has the training and skill to fill it.

Which character – as performed by Brian J. Gill – was your favorite?

Brock. A gruff, grizzled old rider with a heart of gold.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Every time affection was shown between dragon and rider, and the effect the bonding has on new riders.

Any additional comments?

It's so refreshing to read a fantasy book that has a war in it where the good guy isn't underpowered and outnumbered. The main character is a veteran from the army and a combat leader. It shows through the story as he organizes his fighting force, gains the alliances he needs with the help of Geneva, his dragon, and finally triumphs over the enemy who has done one of the things you are never supposed to do: underestimate your opponent.

Disapointed in Audible!

What did you love best about Dragon Blade?

Good story. Kept me entertained

Any additional comments?

Starting to look for another book club that will have all books in a series. It is common for Audible to only have part of the books in a series available.
Good Book, poor book club!!!

too predictable

I liked this less then book 01. The MC is too predictable. Other characters are brought into the story. Then they blend into the background, pop up then down. I enjoyed the reading.
