Publisher's Summary

For nearly one hundred years the magi have co-existed in a forced peace, the black order ruling and those in red robes settling for their subservient role. This peace, however, is threatened when the young protege, Ayres, defies the order and assumes the forbidden white robes. When a break-away sect within the black order begins to gain power, marking themselves with an ancient anti-magi symbol, Ayres and his childhood companions take it upon themselves to uncover the true meaning behind the movement. Hunted by the black magi and struggling to master the white arts he has recently discovered, Ayres must return to the tower that nearly claimed his life, setting off a series of events that could destroy not only himself and the Order, but everything that exists.

Five Stars

The Black Mages currently rule the land in a forced peace after the War of the Robes. However, a secret sect is working behind the scenes and their true intentions slowly become apparent in a plot with catastrophic possibilities for their world. A really good story, told well.

A clever and enduring story

A clever and enduring story of friendship, loyalty and sacrifice. The companions set out unsure of what their quest really is but the journey is where this story is told.

Loved the Characters

Please tell me there is a sequel. I loved these characters. I need to know what’s next for Blodeuwedd, does Duran gain acceptance by the dwarves? I want more.

Good To Listen To

Nice to see a unique form of magic in the fantasy genre. The narration was a bit slow but the story was great.

Five Stars

Ayres and friends don’t know what they have gotten themselves involved in but they know it can’t be good. There are a lot of characters but they are all unique and the story really pushes each individually.

A good story.

A good story. It's a bit of a fantasy adventure, a suspense novel, and an action book all packed into one. I would recommend it.
