Publisher's Summary

The new novel in the #1 New York Times best-selling Dresden Files series. Long ago, Susan Rodriguez was Harry Dresden's lover - until she was attacked by his enemies, leaving her torn between her own humanity and the bloodlust of the vampiric Red Court. Susan then disappeared to South America, where she could fight both her savage gift and those who cursed her with it.

Now Arianna Ortega, Duchess of the Red Court, has discovered a secret Susan has long kept, and she plans to use it - against Harry. To prevail this time, he may have no choice but to embrace the raging fury of his own untapped dark power. Because Harry's not fighting to save the world...He's fighting to save his child.

"My favorite book in the Dresden Files series. "

This book is easily my favorite in the series. If you listen to this book you had better have the next one ready to go (Ghost Stories). Changes doesn't just take you on a literary ride. It drains your freaking soul. It rips every emotion you could possibly have out of your body and then proceeds to bludgeon you with them. if you have been a fan of the Dresden Files to this point all I can say is, prepare yourself.

I've read everything Dresden through the release of Skin Game, and this is hands down my favorite. Masterful storytelling, executed flawlessly by James Marsters.

This book is the fastest paced book, in an already fast paced series. Love it! Redefining cliffhanger, especially when it first came out.

"Fantastic, but for God's sake don't start here!"

so, this may very well be my favorite book and audio book in the series. James Marsters has only gotten better over the years with his narration. That said, these books are incredibly serialized and, as the title implies, this particular volume is a huge turning point in the series. Do not, under any circumstances, decide to dip your toes in the Dresden Files with this particular episode.

Harry Dresden is such an amazing character! I'm not a fantasy buff at all and am very new to the genre but stars and stones this series is addictive. Such an unexpected treat.

"One of the better Dresden Files"

Although I hated a lot of the things that happened, it was a great Dresden Files story overall. I still wish Butcher was more willing to kill off major characters, but I can understand why it's hard.

Where does Changes: The Dresden Files, Book 12 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of the best Dresden files so far

What was one of the most memorable moments of Changes: The Dresden Files, Book 12?

I don't want to give away any of the plot points but trust me when I say your jaw will drop in the first few minutes if listening to this file

What about James Marsters’s performance did you like?

James Marsters is Harry Dresden ! It's that simple

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    "Changes"
Would you listen to Changes: The Dresden Files, Book 12 again? Why?

Oh yes, I have read the Hardback when it first released and couldn't wait for it to be released in Audio format. It did take a while for it to be available on Audible. The story is fast paced, witty and connects a few dots whilst creating a lot more. I found that by listening to this, after reading Ghost Story, there was lots of little things that I had missed and help unravel more of the overall story arc.

What did you like best about this story?

The development of characters previously briefly glimpsed.

What about James Marsters’s performance did you like?

He makes a great Harry, a great voice. Also love his Bob voice too.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Oh cripes... No, I can't do this without dropping plot clangers, sorry.

    Any additional comments?

This is the twelfth book in the series and doesn't make a great stand-alone listen. However fans of Harry Dresden books won't be disappointed by these audiobooks.

    "Great Narration and good plot."
What did you like most about Changes: The Dresden Files, Book 12?

As you listen to the series more development of each character is shown. Dresden files books have a lot of cliches but somehow the narration makes the character so likeable. Hells Bells. You cannot stop listening.

Have you listened to any of James Marsters’s other performances? How does this one compare?

    He is great.

Loved the surprises and twists in the tale right up until the very end. Glad I'm behind in the series as I wouldn't want to wait for another to be published on that cliff hanger. Well written and performed as ever. James Masters is the ideal choice.

As always, you have to be in to this type of story to enjoy it, but if you are then it is a well told story pulling together aspects from earlier books with a fitting and satisfying conclusion. Well narrated as always by James Marsters.
