A good book if short stories

I bought the book for the Jim Butcher story about Toot and Mister. That story was worth the credit. I really enjoyed Troll Life by Kerrie Hughes. I would like more stories about Harsel and Snorrie. The rest of the stories are a mixed bag of ok and good but worth the credit.

The other stories are not for me

I bought the book because of the first story under the Dresdenverse and because I was hoping to find more authors I might like. Although the performances were good, there were only a few stories I liked to even venture and find the source series. The one from Iron Druid was interesting, as well as about the Troll and the one referring Pragmatic Magic. (Sorry, just look at the list for the actual titles.) All in all, I would still buy this because of Dresden Files canon, but just be aware that the rest of the book might not be what you expect.

Entertaining

Overall I liked this collection of stories. Some were better than others and the narrators were great. Patricia Brigg’s entry was by far my favorite.

Loved them all

all of these short stories could be made into full length novels if not novellas. All of them were fantastic!

Compelling collection of heroes

A great assortment of perspectives on courage and determination to “do the right thing” for someone who can’t or won’t do it for themselves.

Very uplifting read, though be warned some characters’ dialog is a bit campy, when said character is not humanoid… But who doesn’t love to speculate on what occurs to Sprites and Dogs?

I’m just here for Jim And Kerrie

There are some other great short stories but they were my favorites.

Jim Butcher did it again. I loved hearing Toots story. He is totally a hero. As always, James Marsters did an amazing job on the reading. He is the voice of the Dresden Files and they would not be the same without him.

not worth it

the first half of the stories were pretty good but then they just got dumber and dumber.

Fun, even if you don’t know the worlds

Interesting exposure for side characters to be heroes.
Sadly the reader for one in the middle emphasizes every third of fourth word for no reason. The sea-saw feeling made me nauseous so I had to skip that one.

Phenomenal group of short stories

Loved this so much, hubby listened at work, teens and I listened at home together - its fantastic and the voice of TootToot was James Marsters who narrates almost all of Jim Butchers Dresden stories and it was cute and fairy adorable as per usual!!
