Bryan Miller is satisfied with his uncomplicated life. He’s a discipline daddy who’s not in the market for any kind of permanent relationship. And why should he be? Like the waves he surfs in the small beach town he calls home, there’s always another body available to warm his bed when he tires of the current flavor of the week. Preston Wallace is a snotty rich brat with enough attitude to keep all the daddies from giving him a chance. He gets it. People are jealous of him for being rich, hot, and fit. It would take a strong daddy to take him in hand.

Story
After losing his husband, Sammy Robustelli has learned to be strong while raising two children on his own. No matter what life has thrown his way, nothing seems too hard with his best friend and roomie Davey at his side. When the two friends learn that people believe they’re a couple, they can’t help but laugh. The very idea is a big joke...until it isn’t. It only takes a few wake-up calls before Davey wonders what happens if a guy might be in love with the best friend he can never have. It could never work for a pair of boys in need of a bossy top, right?

Davey’s rule number 86: A good Daddy will never lie to his boy...even by omission. Travis Miller has a pretty solid life in the small California beach town he calls home. He’s working his way up in the district attorney’s office, he owns a home with an ocean view, and he has close ties with his family. Life is good. If only he could find a sweet boy to call his own, life would be...perfect. Adam Nichols’ life has never been easy. Growing up in foster care taught him to be strong, so finding himself in a violent relationship was a shock.

I didn’t mean to stow away on the yacht, I swear. My first mistake was going home with the jerk at the bar, but in my defense, Prescott said he owned the Worthington - 90 feet of sleek, yachty perfection - and if I could get the chief mate’s job, I’d have an excuse to stay on board and keep avoiding my family and my future. How was I supposed to know he was the owner’s cheating, gold-digging almost brother-in-law, or that I’d end up stuffed in a closet when the ship left the harbor?

Publisher's Summary
Davey’s Rule number 95: Daddy knows that every date or outing deserves a kiss.
Note: This mmm short book is a Davey’s Rules Novella and should technically be numbered as book 3.5 due to its shorter length.
Landon Prescott and his sweet little, Mikey, have a solid relationship. Nothing is missing, they are happily in love, and life couldn’t be better. An accident while shopping brings MIkey into the emergency room at the hospital where daddy Landon has privileges and Mikey finds himself fascinated by the same twitchy ER doc that has caught Landon’s eye once or twice.
Dr. Chris Kowalski is in his final year of residency and the future looks rosy...if he could just get a good night’s sleep and maybe be a little less clumsy. The problem? Aside from needing a better living situation, Chris needs time with his inner pup...time he hasn’t had in several years.
With a nudge from Davey and a couple other familiar faces, Chris finds himself at the club with the two men that he hasn’t been able to get off his mind. Will Mikey get the pup he begs his daddy for? And if so, how will it work if they decide to bring a third into an already solid relationship?
This mmm romance is number four in a series about not-so-perfect daddies, adorable “boys,” and one sassy brat with an insane list of rules. Grab your fan and tissues because this series comes with both a high heat advisory and all the squishy feels you’d want from a Susan Hawke book. Please be aware that this is a bonus book to the series, a 24k short novella rather than a full-length novel.

Even Pups Need TLC...💖🐕💖
Daddy Landon & little Mikey, take in a pup!🐕 This was such a sweet novie. The Story gives a deeper view of the dynamic between Landon and Michael. It shows the deep level of love and commitment the two have for each other, and how even D/s knows no bounds when both partners are consenting. After meeting a young doctor the couple decides to explore and take in, Chris, who has been forced from his home. He settles into the role he has always craved, but in the past was criticized and humiliated for. Changing his name while in his puppy-space to Topher makes him feel even more wanted by this wonderful Daddy and his boy. Sharing in outings and learning the couple care for him, help him become the man and pup he always desired. He just needed safety...and TLC.💖 As always Susan Hawke took a topic that is taboo to many and turned it into a thing of beauty and love. Acceptance and unconditional love are amazing things, aren't they? You can enjoy this lil menage novie on its own or as part of the Davey's Rules series. There are times, places, and scenes that run parallel to, "Rules to Break: DR book#2." No matter how you choose to read/ listen to this, you won't be disappointed. The audible version is especially decadent with the deep syrupy sweet voice of Michael Pauley as narrator. **pardon my drool...😋😂 The Story: 4🌟 The Narration: 5🌟 Sharonica Stars: 4.5✨ SteaMMy Swordplay: 3 out of 5⚔ I received a complimentary copy of this audio book in exchange for an honest review.⛄

Landon & Mikey get a puppy!
Short and Sweet!! When Mikey has an accident he is treated by Chris, who works at the same hospital as Landon. It’s clear to both Mikey and Landon that Chris needs a Daddy or Master of his own to help him cope with day to day life and the two decide to help him find one. Instead they find that bringing a puppy into their own home completes their family. Really sweet story where a third is lovingly brought into an established relationship that I’ve already come to love in this series. It was nice to see these two get their own novella!

Two Become Three
Landon and Mikey have a a great relationship but there is room in their life for more. Chris just seems to capture both of their hearts and it feels right. I like how they take things slowly first offering aid and comfort before seeing where things go from there. They have respect for each other and for the relationship. It was wonderful to see it all work out for them.

Incredible
Landon and Mikey have a solid relationship that we've seen glimpses of in earlier books but when Chris appears, they both realize that there is more than they can imagine. With his history, Chris is tentative on moving forward with the two of them but once he sets his mind to it, these three start a relationship that is beyond amazing.

Daddy, Boy and new Pup? So cute...
I love this Davey's Rules series by S. Hawke and this is apparently the penultimate book, telling the ongoing story of Little Mikey and hid Daddy Landon who have been present as background/side characters since the first book. They have a wonderful relationship and nothing seems to be missing until an accident brings Mikey in contact with Chris who works at the hospital with Landon, and he invites him along to Daddy's Lap as Chris is clearly in need of something, but his inner Pup who hasn't had a chance to play for far too long comes out when bidden by Mikey and his Daddy. This is a lovely tale of how a happy duo becomes and even happier trio. Highly recommended as Michael Pauley, a favourite narrator of mine, does a wonderful job, as always of bringing the guys to life.

Another triumph.
If you have read the first 3 books in this series you will have heard mention of Mikey and Daddy Landon. Mikey is one of the littles at Daddy's Lap.. His daddy is Landon and Landon takes good care of his boy. When Davey is tasked with looking after Mikey while Landon is called away to operate o a sick kid, he decides to take Mikey out shopping. Mikey's grandmas has gotten him some really flimsy shoes as he loved them, but the shoes get caught in an escalator and Mikey gets injured. At the hospital he is cared for by Chris the doctor on call. Mikey really takes to Chris and when he is is in Michael mode, he talks to Landon about making Chris a 3rd in their relationship. I loved Mikey's bright outlook on life. Davey as always is hilarious and I can't wait for his own story. Michael Pauley as always brings them all to life. I really don't know what I would do if I didn't have his voice to listen to on a regular basis. Thanks as always to Susan for bringing us another great episode in the Davey's Rules saga. I will seriously miss this series.

This is book 3.5 of The Davey’s Rules Series. A sweet and delightful threesome relationship story the writing was good. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters wonderful. The characters were developed and thought out. Mikey, Landon and Chris are the MC’s of this book. The narration was done well and made enjoyable. I can recommend this book a good read/listen. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

A Boy and his Puppy
I love how quick Susan Hawke is at getting her audio versions of her books out. Rules To Grow was a novella originally written as part of a giveaway, and ended up being possibly my favourite of an already fantastic series. The story centres around an already established and much loved couple in the series, Mikey and Landon, who have the sweetest ageplay Daddy-boy relationship. Seriously, Mikey is so beyond adorable. Since they are already an established long-term couple, the story instead focuses on a change in their dynamic - the introduction and welcoming of a third who happens to find piece as a pup. Obviously every boy needs a puppy! Christopher is equally adorable, and so in need of the love Mikey and Landon extend to him. My absolute favourite part is how much they draw him into their lives, while adapting their own relationship too. It really felt like they were creating a whole new bond as opposed to just tacking on a 3rd. The kink is hot and sweet, and once again Michael Pauley does a stellar job of the narration. so love his ability to really create a character that matches perfectly with the author's description. His timing is awesome, and it is so fun to revisit past characters. a great story and audio!

Short and sweet!
This series is one of my favorites by Susan Hawke, it's just so much fun and angsty and hot and I live for those Davey moments. This novella was the perfect addition to it, short and sweet, with just a tiny dose of angst to temper it down a bit. I suggest reading or better yet, listening to the first 3 books of the series before delving into this one. We get glimpses of Mikey and Landon in them and of course, you need to meet Davey and bask in his awesomeness. LOL I'm not particularly fond of books where an established couple adds a third to their relationship, but in this case, it works. Mikey is the little, Landon is the Daddy and Chris becomes their puppy and is the perfect addition to their dynamics. They have tons of chemistry and it was great to see how balanced their relationship was and how each of them got something from the others that they didn't realize (or didn't think they'd ever get, in Chris's case) they were missing before. Michael Pauley did a fantastic job bringing to life these characters, from Mikey's cuteness to Chris's exuberance as a puppy and his awkwardness when we first met him to Landon being the Daddy that they both needed and of course, I really don't think anyone else could perform Davey in such a masterful way. Definitely recommendable!

So much is packed into this tasty little number!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 stars 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Heat Level: 4 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 Narration: 5 Adorably awesome but not long enough!! So much is packed into this tasty little number! We get some cheeky insight into Mickey/Michael and Landon’s relationship in and out of the bedroom as well as meeting an adorable, somewhat suppressed pup, Chris or later know as Topher. These three are so sweet together and I’m so glad we got to see more of Landon and Mikey! I especially loved the sass and boldness of Michael we got to see 😉 I’ll admit I was surprised LOL. This is a beautiful, yet short, read/listen and will endear you further to these three characters. I felt that there was so much more to these three and especially Chris’s past that could be expanded on (perhaps another novella again later, please Susi, we’re desperate!) Either way its a beautiful read and of course we were able to get our Davey fix in, before the next book! I love this series and this is an adorable addition!! Thanks for reading!

4.5* of absolute gorgeousness
This has been my absolute favourite of the series so far! We’ve seen glimpses of little Mikey and his Daddy in previous books and in this story they “adopt” a pup who is a Dr at the local hospital. Michael Pauley is brilliant as usual, My only issue is that it should be much much longer.

A Daddy, his boy, and his puppy
Davey’s Rule #19 – Daddy should never count how many shoes his boy owns. Chris Kowalski is an emergency room physician from South Carolina. He works with pediatric surgeon Dr. Landon Prescott but neither man has seen what the other is. Chris is a pup in need of a master. Landon is a Daddy with a little boy Mikey. Only Davey, a bartender at the club Daddy’s Lap sees the situation for what it is. He invites Chris to come to the club. Chris is reticent. His first master was a disaster and he’s hidden that part of himself away ever since, resigned to just being a doctor and a bit of a klutz at that. At the club he finds his people. At first he sits with the adults and carries on a conversation but then Landon offers to do a simple scene with him. Chris is finally free to be himself. He plays with Mikey and feels a deep contentment he’s been missing for years. But Landon and Michal (an aerospace engineer) have a good life. Taking on a third, a puppy no less, would complicate things. Right? For me, ménage stories only work if there is a true equality. When two of the parties are littles or pups, it can be dicey. I love that negotiations always take place when all the men are in their adult personas. But I also love that Mikey and Chris can trust their Daddy/Master enough to know they’ll be treasured. Be cossetted. Be loved. Isn’t that what we all really want? Could I be a puppy or a little? Doubt it, but there is something tempting about the idea of letting someone else take control for once. For letting go of all responsibility and being free. I love the dynamics in this story and even though it was short, it was very satisfying. I’m also loving this series and although I want Davey to find his forever Daddy, I’m enjoying watching him play matchmaker. The next story is out and I’m waiting with bated breath for it to come out on audio because, truly, I think Michael Dean (formerly Michael Pauley) was destined to narrate this series. He’s perfection, especially when he’s in Mikey’s point of view. There’s a mishap while Davey is babysitting and Michael just nails little Mikey in distress. My heart might have clutched a little bit because it’s every adult’s nightmare for a child to be hurt on their watch. Everything worked out in the end. Anyway, great short addition to the series and can’t wait for the next one. Davey’s Rule # 74 – Daddy must always be available for comfort when his boy needs him mostest.

Sweet puppy love
This is a wonderful short story featuring Mikey and Landon. Chris is a resident who hasn’t been able to let his pup side out for a long time. Daddy Landon recognises this and takes Chris under his wing. Mikey and pup Chris (called Topher) are so cute together. They make a wonderful family. Michael Pauley’s narration is as always top notch. Brings the characters into their own.
