RULES TO FOLLOW
Travis and Adam were a terrific introduction to this series. I admired Adam's strength as he leaves his violent ex and makes his own way in a new life. He wants and needs to stand on his own feet but he's also smart to accept the help of those around him. Travis is the epitome of a caretaker. He desperately wants to make Adam's life smoother, removing obstacles and problems. I liked that he stands aside until Adam asks, letting Adam dictate the stride of their relationship.
The side characters are a bonus; especially drama king Davey. The view of so many different types of relationships in the club kept Travis and Adam's unique as opposed to cliche.

RULES TO BREAK
Preston's change from a spoiled child to a caring thoughtful adult was a wonderful journey. Bryan's changes, while not as dramatic, were just as noteworthy. I liked that Preston owned his misbehavior, willingly took his punishments, and acknowledged that he deserved them. I liked, even more, that Bryan acknowledged his own screwups and didn't hesitate to not only fix them but to apologize. Preston gains friends and a real family as he tames his out-of-control behavior and lets people see the real person he is inside. His friendship with Bronson showed him at his best and made me proud of him.


RULES FOR SANTA
Lots of super sweet moments. Scott's first sighting of Cameron puts him instantly into protective mode. Cameron's had it tough but he manages to fall into the right lap. Poor Davey watches his father choose his own 'boy' and is not impressed by having to listen to them be in love. The horror of knowing anything about his dad's romantic life makes him shudder and gave me a few laughs I do like the steps Davey takes to make sure his father and Cameron come together and make it the best Christmas for all of them.

RULES FOR GROWING
I so enjoyed that we get to see Landon and Mikey inter into a new relationship. I adore that they are a long-established couple that are deeply satisfied with their relationship. Meeting Chris brings them a new element to consider and I was impressed that they openly communicate about all the elements of each step long before taking any. Chris obviously needs to find his place and is just as surprised to find how perfectly they all fit together as Mikey and Landon are. As much as I've enjoyed getting to know Mickey, learning about Michael was enlightening. I loved that Landon fills the role of Master and Daddy, allowing Mikey and 'Tofur' to be their alternative selves while home.
Highly recommended author and series

Audiobook: Clear and smoothly told.

Possibly unrealistic, but still enjoyable

I liked it, but it didn't blow me away. I think it deserves a listen though, especially if a sweet, caring guy wanting to take care of a hurting guy is your thing. Travis is too sweet for words, really. And I appreciated how much Adam valued his independence while still letting Travis care for him when he needed it. They had a pretty well balanced relationship, though as with many romances, I would have been cool with a longer timeline, (this is the case with each of these stories - they fall in love within a pretty short period of time). It's not entirely insta-love, but with everything that Adam went through, more time would've made sense.
Each book begins with a date with Davey, rather than focusing on the primary relationship, (though a main character does get introduced then). Davey was a bit annoying to me in that first scene in this book, but he showed himself to be a really great friend and capable of depth as the story went on. By the end, I didn't mind the idea of spending more time with him as the series goes on, even though he's not at the center of it all once the main couple gets going.

Like much of the series, I found this book rather unrealistic. I just cannot imagine people having all of the traits each character has, let alone the situations they find themselves in. While I liked Preston quite a lot most of the time, I just can't imagine a guy like him existing. He takes being a diva bitch to such an extreme that he's often like a caricature of a bratty teenaged girl, not a grown man. The household staff for his wealthy parents didn't strike me as realistic either, though I did find the butler rather funny and likeable.
Thankfully, when not behaving like a teenaged girl, Preston showed kindness and depth of feeling, and his tremendous loneliness made me feel sympathetic toward him from the start. I liked him even more than Bryan at these times. Bryan's flaws for me were all related to his type of Daddy behavior. (I always struggle with authority in these types of stories and tend to be on the side of the boy/sub, so that's on me.) Other than that, Bryan has fairly few flaws and is generally a really good guy.
So far as the story being unrealistic, when I finally let myself suspend disbelief, I did enjoy it. The "My Fair Lady" elements that popped up here and there were amusing, but not overdone. I even got wrapped up enough to get teary-eyed at one point, and I'm sure people who cry easy will shed more tears than that.
Davey makes several appearances in this book and his character continues to show growth. Now I know that I have to get to that final book centered on him.

Rules for Santa: 4 stars
I was surprised to find that this was my favorite out of this set. It's likely terribly unrealistic, but the holiday aspect of it, along with how incredibly NICE the two lead characters are, just made me not care about that. Scott is essentially The Perfect Man and Cameron isn't too shabby himself in the personality department, if a bit wimpy at times, (though that makes the dynamic work and made me want to cuddle him up about as much as Scott did). It was nice to listen to a daddy kink book that had a "daddy" character who was just super supportive, kind and generous. The interactions with Davey were amusing too and this story gave more opportunities for his continued growth and depth.

Rules for Growing: 4 stars
This one surprised me in how much I enjoyed it, as littles and puppy play aren't really my thing, but then a lot of types of kink in fiction aren't remotely my thing. Interesting characters, settings and situations can make one's personal interests in the real world not as important. I liked the characters in this, found them interesting, intriguing, and sympathetic. I was impressed with the level of acceptance they found together and with their friends and loved ones. There were some seriously hot moments too, some relevant to the characters' type of kink, some just the intimacy between the characters. The story doesn't totally revolve around play and kink, but focuses on how the characters balance their lives and find solace with each other.

So far as the audio narration for this volume set – I found it quite enjoyable; I'm not sure if some of the accents used were totally perfect, (not being great at telling that sort of thing), but I felt the emotion, pacing and differentiation of voices to be well done. I do feel that there should have been a pause between books, with the title of each announced before the story itself began. Instead when each individual book ends, the next begins right away, with only the word “Prologue,” as an indication that a new book was starting.

a must listen to

oh my gosh this was wonderfully narrated. I I'm so glad got to listen to this wonderful story it had laugh out loud moments that's also so sad points for the storyline that's a small part of the story .It can be listen to individually but I highly recommend listening in order characters developed throughout the story book

Love that these come in a bundle

I love this series. Michael Dean’s narration really brought all these distinct voices to life.

It was very convenient to get all of these books together like this. Book 1-4 are in this volume.
As you get to know all the characters in this series, you almost can’t wait until Davey’s book which is in volume 2.
My fave in this bundle was Preston and Bryan. The narration really captures the brattiness of Preston. Truly enjoyable!

Dave’s is brilliant

I love love this bundle of stories , real sucker for HEA MM/MMM . I wasn’t a fan of the pup play but the rest of these weee absolutely great ! I am rooting for Davey to find his love soon , while he gets everyone else their love including his father … Susan Hawke was a new author to me , but she is now on my list . Plus Micheal Dean narrates bonus win . Each story is has just that a story , plus lot of heat ! . Thoroughly enjoyed
