Publisher's Summary

This standalone is best enjoyed when you don't read any reviews or spoilers. Going in blind is best. Trust me.

When my eyes are closed, the monster can't see me.

When I sing a song in my head, the monster can't hear me.

When I pretend my bedroom is a playground where I play hide-and-seek, the monster can't find me.

The darkness should frighten me.

I should worry I'll find more monsters...monsters scarier than him.

But I'm not afraid.

It's safe here.

When I'm inside of my head....

He. Can't. Ever. Touch. Me.

Warning: Whispers and the Roars is a dark romance. Strong sexual themes and violence, which could trigger emotional distress, are found in this story. The abuse written in this story is graphic and not glossed over, which could be upsetting to some. This story is not for everyone. Proceed with caution.

Wow that was a wild ride! I don't want to give any spoilers so I'm just going to say that in the beginning I was confused because I couldn't figure out what was going on but when it finally came together I had my suspicions and I was right but not to that extreme! Wow! But beware if you have triggers read some of the spoiler reviews first, if you don't have trigger issues go on blind, I think it made all the difference!

The narration was good, the female voice was a little to childish for me but they both did an awesome job on so many different voices!

Wow.

Just. Wow. Can I have some more stars, please? Impossible to review without spoiling other than to say the character development and narration were extraordinary.

Go into this book blind and deaf..

This story blew my mind, what is left of it anyway, made me say holy shit more than a few times, and left me with a tear in my beautiful eyes and a smirk on my lips.... I love floating around the dark coradors of K.W's brilliant mind.....

Love this author, but this one was a toss up for me

While I love K Webster and have read great things by her, this one was a toss up for me. In fact the first 3/4 of the book I was thinking they must have gotten the author wrong, it just didn't feel like K Webster. I was actually rather bored and I've never been bored by her before. It did pick up and get a bit more interesting, but I still wasn't left with that feeling you get after a good book. It wasn't bad, it was just a little slow. I think some of it had to do with the male narrator. While I do enjoy his voice immensely, (very sexy voice) he just sounds like he's reading words off a page. Had he been a little less reader and a lot more voice actor I think it would have held my interest better. He has huge potential, and I'm sure one day he'll be great! Kylie did great. Overall I'd say about 3 1/2 stars. I did like that I didn't see that conclusion coming. It definitely had its redeeming qualities, so if you get halfway and you're considering throwing in the towel, keep going it gets better. Eric if you're reading this keep at it you have huge potential! 😘

Glad I Went In Blind

Am really glad I went in blind. If I had read any spoilers, I would not have given this book a chance & that would have been very unfortunate. I truly loved the story line, including the shocking twist. Great book!

This book blew me away!

If you could sum up Whispers and the Roars in three words, what would they be?

Blew My Mind

What other book might you compare Whispers and the Roars to and why?

I don't know. I don't think I could compare it to anything. It was it's own amazing story!

Have you listened to any of Kylie Stewart and Eric Rolon ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I certainly could have if life didn't get in the way! haha

Any additional comments?

I really loved this book! I thought it was so original and had so many twists and turns I didn't see coming. I will never forget the part where my jaw dropped! This is a book that will stick with me. As far as the narrators go, I thought they did a great job and I loved that when it came together you got both male and female voices in the same chapter. It made for a much better listening experience.
