Publisher's Summary

For more than 300 years, Bluff House has sat above Whiskey Beach, guarding its shore - and its secrets. But to Eli Landon, it’s home.…

A Boston lawyer, Eli has weathered an intense year of public scrutiny and police investigations after being accused of - but never arrested for - the murder of his soon-to-be-ex wife.

He finds sanctuary at Bluff House, even though his beloved grandmother is in Boston recuperating from a nasty fall. Abra Walsh is always there, though. Whiskey Beach’s resident housekeeper, yoga instructor, jewelry maker, and massage therapist, Abra is a woman of many talents - including helping Eli take control of his life and clear his name. But as they become entangled in each other, they find themselves caught in a net that stretches back for centuries - one that has ensnared a man intent on reaping the rewards of destroying Eli Landon once and for all.…

Had a hard time finishing it

I was bored with the story and felt that it was predictable. I usually listen to a book any chance I get, but with this one I would go days without the desire to finish it.

Not your typical Nora Roberts story

I got the audiobook and the narrator was male. Sometimes the narrator can pull off women's voices, but in this case, it was almost comical. Good story, but different from anything I've ever read from her.

Good story - overrated narrator

I know a lot of people swear by Luke Daniels as a narrator, and based on other reviews, he's better than whomever they had narrate it first, but I just found his female voices borderline offensive. Way too giggly and childish for my tastes, and they kept pulling me out of the story as I kept rolling my eyes at them.

I like the story, though. It might go on a little long, but it's a decent mystery with some interesting twists. If the narrator doesn't bother you like he does me, you should enjpy it.

Great Storyline!

I feel this story was as romantic as most of Nora Roberts books! I appreciated the touch of mystery within the story.

"just a good listen"

An entertaining story to pass time, well read, and enjoyable. no huge surprises. It kept my interest , but not glued to the edge of my seat.

Boring

I love Nora Roberts books. this is the second one I've struggled to finish on Audible.com. I'm not sure if it's the male narrator or the story. I kept checking my progress to see if I was almost finished.

Well written

Always great stories with well described characters. Loved the banter between the hero and heroine. Very exciting too.
