Publisher's Summary

Sassy and quirky, with heaping doses of paranormal romance, MaryJanice Davidson's New York Times best-selling Queen Betsy series sinks its teeth into fans and never lets go. Here Betsy must return the body of her werewolf friend Antonia to her own kind in Cape Cod. And who knows how the wolves will greet her. Then there's her half-sister - the devil's own daughter - who is feeling her oats and beginning to raise a little hell.

THE QUEEN....BESTY..LOVE HER

I totally love this storyline of everyday life with Queen Besty, who is more concerned over what shoes to wear with what designer outfit than keeping the peace in her perfect unperfect world. Her King husband Eric rocks as her side kick, as does her close friends, I just wish they were longer storys and more informational, she can only have one disaster at a time and that leaves for a short story. The narration is the best of any audiobook I have listen to so far (and that alot) Nancy WU is a perfect Besty, and does all the other character justice as well....get the series, totally worth it....

Yes it's short. It's still good.

Don't be afraid to get it -- just don't pay full price for it! The story is just as fun as the others have been, with humor, twists & turns. I'd rather a complete book than one that's been padded. Use your credits, or wait for a sale. I really like the narrator of these books, too. I've tried reading the books, but they have more color through the audible recording because of the many voices portrayed.

Good, but short...

I have been a Betsy fan from Book 1, and I did enjoy this one - although I will agree with other reviewers that it is quite short.

In previous books, I always felt that there were multiple storylines going on, some resolved early, and some that lasted the "length" of the book. I felt that this book had only two storylines, both of which were resolved "early". :)

Short, but still good - I waited until I had a $10 credit to pick it up, since it was only 4-5 hours long.

I love these books

If you could sum up Undead and Unwelcome in three words, what would they be?

Great Escapist Entertainment

What did you like best about this story?

The Characters are very well drawn.

What does Nancy Wu bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Characters Voices

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed a lot.

Any additional comments?

Don't read these if you're expecting something deep. But read these if you're looking to escape for a few hours. I love these books, they're silly, well written, and keep your attention.

Felt rushed

I love this series, but Undead and Unwelcome felt like MaryJanice was being rushed by a deadline and just cobbled together two short stories. The Laura storyline was less than stellar and the Werewolf storyline was interesting but rushed. If you give this one a pass you will not miss anything.

I hope the next novel gets back to the roots of the series, fun and humorous, but with the tension and well developed characters that we have come to expect.

Just Okay

I really liked this series in the beginning, but the last couple books haven't been so great and this one was a let down too. There is a alot going on in this book and there is some potential, but nothing is ever developed to the point that you care about the characters and whats happening. I definetly won't waste my Audible credits on the next book in this series, and I can't recommend this one.

Stop with the F word already!!!

I love the characters and the story but seriously! You really don't need to use the F word like kids use ketchup. You have a vocabulary so use it please.

Why is anyone still buying these?

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Something fresh, something funny, something intriguing...don't keep filling pages telling me (a fan) what I already know. I kept tuning out and having to back up to figure out where I was.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Maybe something by Jojo Moyes or Kate Morton, I need a break from paranormals.

What didn’t you like about Nancy Wu’s performance?

Her screechy character voices, I like a lower tone. When I read the books for myself, the voices in my head are nothing like what I am hearing here.

Not the best but still good

I love this series and hate that this is the last one. It was not the best of the series but that still makes it a fun read.
