it's not a complete series

this is a compilation of companion books. was still fun to read, but not what I was led to believe I was buying.

Deceiving

I believed that it was the complete sookie stackhouse series as the title suggests, but it’s random short stories not from the books.

Well done for short stories.

The writing was good and held true to form to the southern vampire series. It does suffer some in complexity due to the fact that they are short stories. The reading is mostly consistent, but gets a little whispery towards the end. A worthwhile listen if you want to round out the full story

I miss hearing from Sookie!

The Sookie Stackhouse books were incredible. I HATED TRUE BLOOD on HBO! Of course the book is always better. This was a great way to reach back into the world of Sookie! Thank you Charlaine Harris! Johanna Parker you were AWESOME!

Old stories read by Johanna Parker

These stories except the last are in the book Playing Possum with numerous narrators. Whom I didn't give enough credit cuz I was used to Johanna Parker. As for the last, new story it wasn't to my liking. With Sookie you expect more. I love Sookie and her world.

very nice

I've read the complete series many times, and never heard these before. it was nice fillers between the books that I love. I wish we could read the rest of Sookie's life. I would love to be with her though her wedding and pregnancies. oh well. 😭

Frustrating

What is with this narration? The same narrater is used here as in the main Sookie books but she’s using a different voice here and every sentence sounds like it ends in a question and also it’s more raspy. The stories are ok, but not holding my attention. Also they are inconsistent with the books as far as when Sookie thinks or talks about the “people” she’s killed or bedded she never includes the people she’s killed/bedded in these stories.

Interesting

I enjoyed listening to the Complete Sookie Stackhouse Stories. It was interesting to see little glimpses of things going on in between other stories. I liked it.
