Publisher's Summary

Matt Lancaster is the star quarterback at Bodine College, a small Southern Division II school with an ultra-conservative dean of athletics. Matt is also very much in the closet, and he thinks he’s kept his secret well hidden, until his best friends take him to a happy endings massage parlor and request a male masseuse for him.

In walks Trevor Kim, a gorgeous, pierced, tattooed fellow Bodine student who does massages - without happy endings - to pay for school after his family kicked him out for being gay. Trevor takes one look at Matt and breaks all his own rules about mixing business with pleasure.

Matt needs to keep his scholarship, win the National Championship, and survive his asshole father. Instead, he falls in love. Trevor needs to accept that the football god is meant to end up with him rather than a perky cheerleader. It’s time for a "happily ever after" for both of them.

Romantic and Steamy

Most gay romance novels are either romantic or steamy. This was both! the gay sex was even believable.

Perfection! Just the right mix of everything

It's not often I want to give 5 stars. Usually, something slightly annoying prevents it, not this time. Some may argue the story is too perfect and I would counter and say "things can work out in this cynical world we live in". No new territory covered here, but the cast of characters have almost equal voices in Matt and Trevor's story. Friends behave like friends and people in love behave like people in love.

I think you would be hard-pressed to find something wrong with this story. Just enjoy it for what it is.

Please let there be a spin-off/sequel planned!

So much fun! Funny, angsty (goodness the angst!), and just plain adorable—I highly enjoyed this book. The narrator did a fantastic job as always, and I can’t wait to see what Mackenzie Lee comes up with next. Hopefully a sequel/ spin-off for some of the supporting characters?? *Cough*cough* Drew *cough* *cough* O’Donnell.

Wonderful through and through

The story was a little predictable but enjoyable nonetheless. Greg Boudreaux's performance was excellent!! The voices for the different characters were unique and instantly identifiable. Made listening very easy!

Loved it!

Loved Matt and Trevor. Matt’s being deep in the closet was a bit annoying but glad he finally came out. It did end well.

Good story, enjoyable humour

as someone who went into this thinking the story would just be a cute, generic lgbtq story, I was actually pleasently surprised.

the story develops smoothly throughout the entirety of the book switching between the two characters making sure you're taking in that person's views for the chapter (which also makes the reader how miscommunicated conversations can get).

characters are charming and all have relevence.

The college and young adult like humour is spot on. "hehe Slot."

Another note was I was not expecting so many intimiate scenes, which is no reason to knock it against the book. The scenes were well written out, with the author describing the scenes vividly to wear you could imagine the scene perfectly

my only gripe would be the keeping up with time jumps and some of the characters relevence after they were no longer useful in roles.

all in all, fun read, loved the humour, had to adjust myself a few times with some of the dirty scenes, and loved the ending.

Everyone deserves to wear eyeliner.

Great sports romance!

Well, ‘tis the season for sports minded romance! This is one of three or four GFY or supposedly straight guys finding their gay side that I’ve read in the last month. Honestly, they’ve all been really good, so I haven’t minded one bit!

What I liked about this was that Trevor speaks up for himself and isn’t willing to be shut up in a closet. Trevor is also pretty unique and funny and as a character, was a lot of fun.

Matt is pretty typical, as far as jock characters go – though I found his willingness to try things at the happy ending massage place pretty funny.

There is quite a bit of exploratory/virgin chemistry , some pretty unrealistic team mates and some super awesome family members. The dialog was witty and fun and there wasn’t a lot of football to get in the way of the romance – which I appreciated!

I really enjoyed this and recommend it to fans of GFY/OFY jock/nerd romances.

This might be the first time I've ever said this... but while Greg did his usual great job, I'm not sure he added as much to this as I was expecting. I didn't see a big difference between Matt and Trevor and I figured there'd be at least something what with all the potential for accents based on location, heritage, etc.
I thought he did great with some of the other guys on the team but I was looking for something a bit different for the two MCs.
It was still wonderful and amazing and a great way to enjoy this story.
Highly recommended!

Loved the story all the way

It’s great to have an affirming story written with humour emotions and sufficient potential trauma as well as read in a way that so well fit in with the book. I laughed loads much to the amusement of people around as I listened on my head phones. Also shed a few tears of emotions too

Great voice, good story if slightly overdone 👍

the voice acting makes it, even if the storyline is very obvious I enjoyed that it was from a sports perspective and the characters are reasonably likable despite their lack of development over the course the book. it's a nice feel good book 😁

Surprisingly good...

It could be considered a cliche, but it avoids that, with thoughtful writing, and the spoken performance is excellent, catching the different voices well.

The fact it’s a good story means we have a way to go to reach equality, but this helps on that journey, I’d recommend listening.

Absolutely Adorable

This books was way too cute. A closeted quarterback and a sassy massuse. I loved the characters Matt and Trevor , I loved their chemistry and I loved that Trevor did not play the role of damsel in distress. I also appreciated Matt's gradual coming out and acceptance of himself. George did a good job potraying the emotions of the characters and the ascent was on point too. highly recommend.

Wow!!!!

I absolutely thoroughly enjoyed this story. I would have loved to have read this book, but for some reason it's not available, only available in audio. However, I loved the narrators voice. really easy to listen to, I was quite disappointed for the story to end. Loved this book, I will definitely buy when available again.
