He decides to read the logs while sailing the Undine from Santa Cruz to San Francisco to see his daughter. But Charles' lack of experience quickly lands him in trouble. Sierra Marney is a fourth generation lighthouse keeper. Her family has been tending the Pigeon Point lighthouse since 1872. She lives a solitary life at the isolated station on the windswept Northern Pacific coast. When Charles founders onto the rocks at Pigeon Point, Sierra may be the only one who can save him.
Would you try another book from J. T. Kalnay and/or Cynthia Wallace?
Don't ever select an audio book narrated by Cynthia Wallace! At first I though my listening device was set a a slower speed because her voice was slow and draggy. Her slow, sing-song voice made this audible listen the worst I have ever struggled through. Then there was Wallace's total lack of ability to change voices for different characters. She made the female lead character sound like an old man. I kept on thinking that even I could do so much better. Don't even get me started on the story line. It was so ridiculous! I would avoid this author too. I would love to get my money back on this one.
What could J. T. Kalnay have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Less ridiculous story line!
Would you be willing to try another one of Cynthia Wallace’s performances?
What character would you cut from The Point?
The whole book was trash once it took a turn down to never-never land.
