Publisher's Summary

Eighteen-year-old Charlee Parker met the love of her life in a parking lot-a leggy brunette with a valedictorian medal hanging from her rear-view mirror and an attitude as biting as a Boston winter. Alexandra Woodson was guarded, a 19-year-old orphan set on a bright future in hospitality administration. She never imagined an art student with a penchant for cheesy pick-up lines and stealing parking spaces would crack her rigid exterior and claim her heart.

For four years, theirs was an enviable love - evergreen and growing. Unbreakable... until it broke.

Alex's job now brings her back to Boston, after five years working on the opposite side of the country. When, by chance, they meet again, Charlee and Alex are swept up in a whirlwind of heart-rending history, tossed between past and present, and lovers old and new. Will their lingering connection be enough to convince them that some loves are meant to last? Or should the past remain in the past?

Contains mature themes.

Now That's a Love Story!!!!

this book was so powerful I'm not sure how to start any sort of review. I'm not sure which was better... the amazing storyline or Abby craden narrating. loved both!!! the whole story played out perfectly. this audiobook is so filled with emotion it's really hard to pinpoint the right words to use here. I loved the characters (especially Charlie) and the whole thing definitely gave me the feels. I'm sure it will be a long time before I find another love story so perfect. sorry this review is all over the place. Ha. the book was so good I honestly feel like I should contact the author and tell her how much I appreciated it. anyway, if you are reading this and considering getting this book, please do.

SO good, seriously.

I have listened to many many romances, and I have to say this is one of the best I’ve listened to. It’s sweet and sad and steamy and beautiful.

This was a really good book.

This is one of my favorite audiobooks. I’ve listened to a lot recently and this is in the top 5. I appreciated Charlie’s character best. I occasionally wanted to poke Alex in the eye - lol - but I understand where she’s emotionally coming from. Some people struggle doing what’s best for themselves if it involves hurting someone else. This was an emotional ride. But a good one.

Expected Better

After reading many of the reviews, I was really expecting something with more "wow". Unfortunately, there was just sad, slow motion whining and pining. I kept waiting for it to get better, but it never really did.

Predictable

I liked the story line but it was predictable and very straight forward (pun intended). I loved Charlie, Alex annoyed me, but the characters did compliment each other.

Definitely one of my favorite lesbian romance stories

I read the book first and was flooded by it. Then when I saw the audio book and who was reading, I knew that it would make my listening experience more enjoyable. Abby Craden does an awesome job as usual. She really brought the story to life. Don't get me wrong the reading experience was just as enjoyable. Definitely a must read and listen to.

Awkward tenses.

Good story, it is in correct tence, but it isn't how we talk. It took me well into book before I could get past this. I am not a fan of the foster care theme in more than one book from same author.

WOW

this is a highly emontional book about soul mates and finding each other. losing one another, to finding one another again. The narrator does justice to be able to one to feel the emontions that each characters is going through

Wonderful writer - even better reader!

Abby Craden can draw a chalk line around this story and hang up the yellow tape. SHE KILLED IT. The emotion and meaning with which she filled every line was stunningly beautiful. It was so lovely it literally stopped me in my tracks on more than one occasion.

KL Hughes writing was marvelous, eliciting several out loud "wows" from me as I listened to her meticulously crafted sentences. This story's narrative does not follow a linear time line, which caused me to back the audio a few times to figure out when the action was taking place. However, this chronological breaking up of the story enhanced the overall tale rather than detracted.

The Art of Us of was an amazing listen and an excellent use of a credit.
